Okay... I had a good day. i found a McDonalds still giving out Kung Fu Panda toys, and I got the Mr. Potatohead that's dressed like Optimus Prime.

I come home, turn on the Simpsons, and my entire day was blown. I'm angry and depressed. I'm in Despair. (no one's gonna get that)

Anyway, what drove me to despair was a horrible new concept in game shows. A game show where people have to fit into stupid shaped holes cut into the wall. What the shell is this? That is the stupidest idea for a TV show ever. And I've seen some stinkers in my day.

Seriously. The show is to have contestants fit through odd shaped walls that come at them. There's a call for this? What ever happened to having to know stuff... even something as simple as the price of marketed goods, or what letters make up a bunch of blanks to make a word or phrase? Are we getting that dumbed down as TV viewers we want to see people humiliate themselves in a flimsy concept?

BTW, the show is called "Hole in the Wall" (yeah! Clever. More clever than the show itself) and it's coming to (of course) Fox.

And boy am I ticked.

Have you ever heard Nick Swardson's bit on game show's of today? He mentions "Deal or No Deal".

"How is that a game show? A guy just stands there and looks at brief cases and says 'is there money in that one? How about that one?' That's not a game show!"

"Millionaire" set the bar for these new game shows. All this dramatic music and lighting, waaaaaaaay to long pauses in dialogue for dramatic effect, and a surprisingly large amount of dimwitted people who, for whatever reason, are begging to be exploited.

Uh. Weird. (Talking about the Hole in the Wall show) I can't imagine ever watching that.

I think that Japan has the US beat as far as game shows go.

That's probably why my mom thinks out of all the networks, FOX will be more likely to pick up my show, lol.

What are you talking about? That show aired on NBC. Nd I thought that fox had a lot of good shows, it's just their there have been so many crappy ones just like any other network to me.

Anyway, that's not an idea. That is just stupid! What will they not think of next, I cant wait. I wish these people would get an idea. I'm sick of these terrible new game shows. That are not grams nor do they deserve to be shows.

I know, but reruns air on FOX.
Reruns air everywhere. NBC tried to sell the show to fox at one point before it went on the air and one of the networks complaints was actually that it was too hip. It took FOX to actually let them know that they had something big on their hands. But s far as the reruns go, they actually remove at least tow minuets of very episode of most shows and that really annoys me.:stick_out_tongue:

That's not as bad as older shows that have like five-to-seven minutes worth of show butchered from it.

And why? Commercialism.

I realize that commercial breaks are getting longer and longer, but it'd be much better if they left shows as is... I mean, sure, programming schedules would be awkward because shows would then be running forty-five minutes, or an hour and fifteen minutes, but hey, how would commercials like it if we butchered them to make room for our shows?

No doubt. I'm not sure if it's still airing, but check out "I Survived A Japanese Game Show" (on CBS? NBC? ABC? I can't remember!) if you can. Some true examples of how incredibly strange Japanese television is. And that's not even the strangest.
