That's not as bad as older shows that have like five-to-seven minutes worth of show butchered from it.

And why? Commercialism.

I realize that commercial breaks are getting longer and longer, but it'd be much better if they left shows as is... I mean, sure, programming schedules would be awkward because shows would then be running forty-five minutes, or an hour and fifteen minutes, but hey, how would commercials like it if we butchered them to make room for our shows?
I know what you mean, I mean Network shows are nowhere near as long as they used to be. Now they run like 20 to 21 minutes. Where your average show used to run like 24 or even up to 25 minutes. But older shows are really cut to death these days.:stick_out_tongue:

Next thing you know shows will be running five minutes, while the other twenty five go to commercials.

I think that Japan has the US beat as far as game shows go.
Oh man, do they ever! They're decades ahead of us. Have you seen "Wipeout"? It's a blatant rip-off of "Takeshi's Castle" (Most Extreme Elimination Challenge here in the US, and where I got my username from). And I don't know why for the life of me why there aren't more Japanese shows imported here to the States.

OMG are they ever getting longer, AND I have to get on a soapbox here and whine about something that irritates the mother-loving crap out of me...

WHY THE **** DO THEY HAVE TO TAKE UP HALF THE FRIGGIN' SCREEN DURING A SHOW TO PROMOTE ANOTHER **** SHOW!

I'll be watching one of my shows, when all of a sudden, in the bottom corner, some graphic quickly sucks up anywhere from a 1/4 to 1/2 the screen to tell me about what's coming on this Thursday. Good God I hate that so incredibly much! And then, as if they didn't waste enough time with that and the ridiculously lengthy commercials during the show, they shrink the ending credits to an eighth of the screen for more frickin' promos! Are you ***********' kidding me! Just make a ****** commercial station and quit wasting my time! AUGH!

Davo, take it easy, you're getting all melrosed up!

But yeah, I agree, the graphics are froggin' irritating!

And the shrunken credits! WHY do they shrink the credits for more commercials? Heck, TV Land now has their own version of the credits of each of their shows (except for I Love Lucy for some reason) that take up the bottom third of the screen in a black bar, the left portion of the bar is the show title, and the middle portion of the bar, in white text, are the credits that run in a matter of seconds.

Lol! "melrosed up", I like that!

I just feel bad for everyone who worked on a show. I mean, if I worked on a show, and then the network made my name too small to read, I'd be upset.

I saw thwe comercial for this. Although for some reason I found the Simpons funny to night, even if it was a rerun and I didnt like it the first time I sw it.

Anyway, back to the new show. It looks absolutly idiotic. There is no need for this show. I hope it gets cancelled faster than you can say "wall"

This is not one of those shows that I will say "give it a try before you bash it". Its one of those things you know will be plain awful. All I could think was "what the heck is this?"

I hate that, especially when I'm taping something and it's not yet (if it'll ever be) released on DVD. Then I'm stuck with a half a screen of show with no way to own an ad free version. I really wish they'd stop. Next thing you know we'll have a tiny box in the middle of the actual show, and 98% of the screen will just be interchanging ads.

Anyway, just thought I'd add my two cents

VH1 and MTV have done something like that on several occassions. I was so shocked, I couldn't speak.
