She is? (Screams in excited, Piggyish way.) Aaaaaaaahhhh! She is! Bouncy bouncy, yay, yay, yay!

LIIIIIIIIIIIIIISSSSSSSSSAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!! :smile::smile::smile:

(gasp, pant) Okay, I'm calm now. (giggles)

Oh, Ed, that's great news! You have a lot of faith in my ability to resist Lisa's writing. I've read it all through more than once in the last six weeks. You have penetrated my careful disguise and figured out how much I like frog/pig cuddling. Drats! There goes my evil plan. You're right though, I've more or less (more more than less) been waiting for that particular scene since I started reading this story.

My reaction was certainly not excited in the least. Nope. (Sam voice) I have far to much dignity to skip around like a little girl, shrieking with joy.

Yep.

Well, maybe just one more. SQUEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!

Life is good.

And so, review, part the second.

Chapter Twenty-Seven

Yup. 27.
A little harmless flirting won’t hurt, he thought.

Not until after you meet Piggy anyway, Kermit. I like him flirting and getting his confidence back. He’s getting back to the frog we knew and it’s nice to see. I like their banter. I also like Penny’s name.
“Well basically, we’re just going to take a bunch of clips, put ‘em together in no real order, and call it a pilot,” the Muppet explained.

Ooh, Nigel! And the other pilot, the one I’ve seen! (Is excited.) I like your description of that episode. Very funny… and accurate.
“Oh sure, you know Dave Goelz finally joined the company,” Nigel said.
Yay!!! I also really enjoy how you blend together the muppets and the performers, it’s really interesting! And the band’s got a gig, whoo!

The pews had all been cleared out, and there was a counter to the left. Something red jumped up from behind it. “FROGGY!”
Heh heh, I love Animal.

“Well, you know how I mentioned that we’re shooting another pilot?”

“You know how I mentioned that I still don’t think that’s legal?”
Oh, hey! Nice call back to Kermit’s line from forever ago! I also like Clifford’s “show business ain’t for me” line.

A moment’s hesitation. “Well, um, I might be able to get you a job on an educational show for kids.”
Heh, I like the lead up to Kermit’s line in that segment, and what a simple yet effective way of changing Harry’s name!

But the quiet bliss that came at the end of a good song was interrupted by- “HELP, HELP! This is a serious call for help.”
Yay! The Muppet Movie! And the Rainbow Connection! Oh, it’s so neat how you’re sewing all this together. I can’t imagine how much planning all this takes!
Chapter Twenty-Eight

Yippee! I’m caught up!

Jim rubbed his temples. “A man named… Doc something… Jumper, Leaper… Hopper, that’s it. Doc Hopper. He keeps calling, wants to know if you’ll do commercials for his frog leg restaurants.”
Ooh, and Doc Hopper too! Scary!

Kermit hesitated. “You mean- I’ll lead the way to Hollywood?”
Oh, that’s lovely. I can’t smile any harder, it makes my cheeks hurt.

Kermit huffed and puffed as he slowed to a stop on the side of a dark street. “Sheesh,” he said. “What in the world made me think I could make this trip on a bicycle?”
Heh, that’s hilarious! I love that line!

He turned his attention to the poor excuse of a stage. “Good grief,” he said, “The comedian’s a bear!”
Ah! That’s even better! I love that sketch, it’s so funny and great for their characters too. Fozzie! Bounce, bounce!

“Oh, wait, please. Please wait. I’m trying so hard. Please don’t do that…”

Kermit made his way towards the stage. Saying please wouldn’t work with this crowd, even if they could have heard him over the boos. They needed to see something.

“I’m a professional! I’ve had three performances! Please!”
I love how Kermit comes to his rescue, and I’ve always loved Fozzie’s lines here. They’re just so sweet and hopeful and, I don’t know, Fozzie-ish. I like how you slightly change their escape. You’re really doing a great job at that… ‘sort of approximately how it happened.’

“The comedian,” Kermit said.

Fozzie’s eyes lit up. “Really?”

“No, but you looked like you could use a compliment,” Kermit said. “I’m actually on my way to Hollywood.”
So sweet! Lisa I missed you!
“No thanks,” Kermit said. He turned to walk away. “Come on, Fozzie.”

“Yes sir!”
Another thing I’ve always liked about Fozzie is the way he calls Kermit sir.

“Kermit!” The weird blue guy hurried to Kermit’s window. “Kermit, I’m glad you’re here! Do you remember me?”
It’s hard to think of anyone forgetting Gonzo. I’m glad to see him again, along with Camilla, and you combine that pleasure nicely with that awful billboard.
“I- of course I remember you Gonzo. Fozzie, this is the Great Gonzo, Gonzo this is my friend Fozzie.”

“Friend…” Fozzie repeated quietly. Something inside him swelled.
Oh, that’s perfect! Ooh, I wanna hug the bear.

And at long last… (I really shouldn’t quote this whole thing… but I love it all!)

Kermit caught his breath. He did not realize he was staring.

The description of the scene, of Piggy, Kermit’s reaction, it’s all so great! (And what a tease to leave us with!) I’m really glad you had Kermit be instantly attracted to her. I know a lot of people don’t like her, and thus the pairing, but for all the time they drive each other crazy… well, you know where I’m going with this, and Ru is far more eloquent on this subject.

She was beautiful, she looked like an angel, she was absolutely gorgeous, she…

She was looking straight at him.
Dun dun DUN! Ah, I love this so much! I’m completely excited to see what happens next! This really is the Muppet Fanfic to end all fanfics, Lisa, I hope you realize that… I also hope it doesn’t of course. You’re doing a great job, keep it up… soon?

Oh, you guys! Please excuse me while I run around and give you each five thousand hugs... Wait, no, I don't have that much energy... stupid jet lag... Leyla, I love you! That whole entire detailed review... Oh, it's just the pick-me-up I need... See, as I mentioned over in the dorms, I came home to the unfortunate news that my grandfather passed away. His funeral was today, and I'll be spending a lot of the next few days at my grandmother's house, for the traditional mourning period... It's kind of funny in a not-so-funny way, but I'm glad I missed seeing about half of Superman last Monday and called my grandparents instead- I got to talk to him one last time. And I'm glad I called my mom from the airport in Tel Aviv before I left- it was right after he died. And I'm glad I'm home now, for this, when my family needs me and I need them... I'll get some story up as soon as I can, but it may take a little longer than it otherwise would have. In the mean time, thank you all so much for your comments. It really means so much...

Oh, and Beau? Wait till you get some of the lines I've cooked up over the past six weeks... <Rubs hands together and laughs in an evil, cynical way...>

And in the meantime, everybody, I've got two small requests:
1.) If you're writing a fanfic, you'd better keep writing. I'm not caught up yet, but I will be before you know it, and you know what that means... or at least, you should.
2.) Get ready, because we've got some fun stuff coming up! Let's see, we have this, and then we have that, and then that of course, and then that REALLY awesome scene... oh but this comes before that! I forgot about that, I have to get that in there... um, and then we get into this stuff, and then- OH! Oh I am SO looking forward to that scene, and that scene, and that scene, and that scene- Hey you know the last time I thought about that scene? It was in the swimming pool at Kibbutz Hannaton, that's in Israel, I was there um... one, two... three weeks ago I guess? Ish? Approximately? I'll have to check my journal. But it's an AWESOME scene! And then not too long after that, we'll have that, and then.... OOOOH! Oh, wow... <continues raving about scenes to come.>

Edit: OH! My post count has three threes and I was in group three and- yay! Sorry, I know it's random, but you didn't really expect me to change that much, did you?

No... But please, pick up the stuff we left for you in the Welcome Back thread.
Oh, if you need some help catching up... LMK and I can point you in the direction of some good stories.
Confidentially, I'm waiting for Ruahnna to update hers to see if I get some inspiration for my own.
Either that, or get some sort of consultation from you, Your Majesty. And maybe some of those one-liners?
Anyway, welcome back. *Fires off 21 penguin cannon salute.
*Fires off another muffin from the newer muffin-launching cannons into her lap as well.

Come along Lisa, dear, we are waiting for the next installment of the longest fan-fiction ever...

Oh, and Ruahnna, we'll be sending the kids to magic school soon in Mopfam! Look forward to seeing more of your posts there as they do make me giggle.

We understand... After all, she's probably got a ton of thread notification messages in her E-mail inbox, helping her go through all the stuff she needs to catch up on.

Just post as soon as you can Lisa... Or we'll start pointing the muffin and penguin cannons in your direction.

Mm, muffins and penguins... Hey did I tell you guys? No, I didn't tell you guys. There were SO many muffins! I'm telling you, from the first day to the last day, I ate a lot of muffins on that trip. And I bought this funny littlek paper-holding penguin thingy, too. I missed you guys so much...

I'm still spending a lot of time at my grandma's house, though, and to be honest, I'm not even really unpacked yet. So I have to take care of those things, but- dare I say it?- I'll probably have some story up by, um... let's say Monday, I'll probably have some up by then. Gosh, it's been so long...
