And, although it may have been mentioned already:

- Grover: "Sir, I am a plumber! Are you telling me how to...plumb?"
Kermit: "Well, you can plumb any way you want--"

- (And then, of course, the letter B, "which sorta looks like a fat man with his belt too tight"...)

- "They told me to wait for a surprise, and I'm kinda worried--Because sometimes, y'know, there're monsters that sneak up behind you, and go 'BLAAGHKK!!'....And then sometimes, there're the Cream Pie monsters, that sneak up and hit you in the face with a cream pie..."

my favorite kermit the frog moments from sesame street are:

the songs this frog, tadpole, get along, we're alive, i wonder about the world above up there, and i love my elbows.

the skit where grover gives kermit a nose.

kermits appearance in miami mice.

kermit and the girl singing the alphabet.

sesame street news: alice in wonderland, humpty dumpty, rupunzel, pinnocchio and peter pipers family.

kermit instructing cookie monster to not read a poem about cookies.

kermit drawing the letter m in thin air.

kermits cameos in the songs do de rubber duck and subway.

kermit counting happy little tweedlebugs.

Maybe this is the one I had mentioned recently where Kermit made a drawing on the screen and as the lines drew he made a "zshhhh" sound. And then said, "Look at that!" and "Beautiful!". I just couldn't recall what the drawing was of!

This must be where he says, "Hi ho Kermit the Frog here and ... oooh, what have we here?" Twiddlebug goes, "Twiddletwiddlebug, twiddletwiddlebug.."
After 6 of them come he says, "And when you have 6 happy little twiddlebugs ... you have a twiddlebug party!" And horns blow and confetti falls. This is my earliest memory of the twiddlebugs. Maybe it was their first appearance, especially considering in later episodes there were tiny twiddlebugs living in a box outside that window at Ernie and Bert's apartment.

yes, that is the skit you were thinking of. it is featured in the video/ dvd "learning about Letters". I know that there was also a similar skit where kermit drew the letter k. I have only seen a picture from that sketch, but both have the same setting (the area between hoopers store and 123 sesame street) and both feature grover (i am not sure if grover only appears at the end of the k one, like in the m one, or throughout the skit). I wouldn't be surprised if these skits were shot in the same hour, nor do I know if more were made.

Does anyone remember a sketch with Herry and the twiddlebugs? I'm thinking of one where near the end I think you hear a bunch of twiddlebugs going, "Twiddle twiddle twiddle ..." And I'm thinking Herry appears and is a little upset or puzzled. Maybe he says something like, "Where are all the twiddlebugs coming from?" I can't recall if Kermit or someone else was in it earlier in the sketch. I'm also wondering too if something was falling out of the sky to the ground. Can't quite place much on this one.

That sounds like the one where Sherlock Hemlock sees gift wrapping, a piece of cake with a candle in it, and various other party items in a yard, Sherlock deduces that the Twiddle Bugs were having some kind of meeting and then a monster came and frightened them away, threw a candle at them, which landed in their cake, and created havoc. A little girl muppet (Betty Lou?) comes along and disagrees, saying that she thinks someone just had a birthday party. A boy muppet comes out and confirms her theory. Sherlock Hemlock, with a broken spirit, leaves in disgrace. But then, after everyone has gone, the twiddle bugs do come out, Herry monster comes along and frightens them away, and everything that Sherlock theorized comes true. This skit was also done as an illustrated book.

Thank you GeeBee, that's the one I was thinking of. It was the birthday party and Sherlock Hemlock that just weren't coming to mind but I sure remember it now.

I thought of a skit with Kermit that I can only remember that near the end a girl anything muppet asks Kermit if he wants a marshmallow. I think she might have been toasting marshmallows on a fire. Kermit gladly accepts the marshmallow. I think there was an anything boy muppet in this one too. And I'm thinking that he was sad or upset about something.
That's all I can recall. Does this marsmallow one come to mind at all? It would had to have been made by 1974 and probably earlier.

Here's what I remember of it. Kermit was in the country talking, until he smells smoke. A girl comes in and tells him there's a fire over there and walks away. Kermit panics and calls for help. And in comes Grover and tells Kermit that he's a fireman. But Grover forgot his uniform so he leaves. Kermit tells him to hurry, then Grover comes back as a doctor. He looks at Kermit and says he looks green. Kermit shouts that he's a doctor, not a fireman. Then Grover leaves and comes back as a farmer. Kermit shouts at him to be a fireman. So Grover leaves and finally comes back as a fireman with a hose. They slowly approach to where the smoke was coming from and it was from a campfire that belonged to the same girl and she was roasting marshmallows. She asked them if they'd like some. Kermit was now suddenly calm and said, "Sure." Then Grover fainted, probably from exhaustion.
