Thank you, Xerus. Now comes back to me about it being Grover and not an anything boy muppet that was frazzled at the end.

And I'm pretty sure it was Kermit in a walk/don't walk segment. Back in the 70's when the white walk lights and red don't walk lights at street corners were more prevalent, Kermit was demonstrating how to cross the street by waiting when the red don't walk was lit up. And then proceeding to cross when the white walk lit up. What was really amusing was that every time he started to walk across the street the don't walk sign would quickly light up (often before he was even at the halfway point) and then he'd walk back again and start over to wait for the walk sign. I can't remember how it ended, but I think he got increasingly frustrated and impatient as this kept going on, as he is so famously funny for.

Your welcome for your first question. And I can also answer how that Don't Walk sit ended. Kermit got totally frustrated and walked off. Then the Don't Walk sign suddenly sprouted wobbly legs and started to walk off as well.

Wow haha I don't recall that ending at all.
I remember as a small child thinking, "Hey Kermit, you're already half way over, why don't you just keep crossing over, cuz either way you'll still be walking!" Yet another very fun skit for kids (and adults! I remember my dad getting a kick out of the one where Kermit was asking people on the street what makes them mad. But everyone kept walking saying they don't have time and then Kermit got increasingly angry himself. And my dad laughed increasingly harder!).

I thought I'd comment here. I caught a bit on "Plaza Sesamo" this morning where the Count was the elevator operator and Kermit wanted to go to the seventh floor, but the Count insisted on counting the floors. I remember that from when I was younger and I thought it was interesting to see it in Spanish. Actually, I didn't think they were allowed to use Kermit there. I know regular "Sesame Street" needs permission from Henson productions since it's owned by "Sesame Workshop" now. I sort of thought it was the same deal with foreign versions of the show.

broken clock

my favorite kermit on SS moment was when Kermit decided to show the famous mouse running up the clock scene from the nursery rhyme. For some reason the mouse couldn't make it and a number of other animals tried out for the part the last of which was a horse which ran up or rather through the clock, causing the clock to strike about 13 times. At which point Kermit made a grand exit.

Harry and the twiddlebugs

Does anyone remember a sketch with Herry and the twiddlebugs? I'm thinking of one where near the end I think you hear a bunch of twiddlebugs going, "Twiddle twiddle twiddle ..." And I'm thinking Herry appears and is a little upset or puzzled. Maybe he says something like, "Where are all the twiddlebugs coming from?" I can't recall if Kermit or someone else was in it earlier in the sketch. I'm also wondering too if something was falling out of the sky to the ground. Can't quite place much on this one.
I'm pretty sure it was a Sherlock Hemlock case. You can find the whole scenario of it in the "Tribute to Sherlock" thread. Tell me if thats the one your thinking of.

Some more "Oldies but Goodies"

1)The one where kermit is demonstrating the difference between "short" and "Tall". This was an early one, one of the first, and the 2 creatures which were helping him were black piles of fur sitting on "the wall". Each was identical except that one had a long neck (w/ bulgy eyes on the end of it), and the other had a short one. Halfway through the demonstration, the long one starts getting shorter and the short one gets longer. They keep switching back and forth like this untill Kermit gets mad!
2) Kermit helps Grover demonstrate proper tooth care. When Grover finds that Kermit has no teeth, he tackles Kermit to the floor and stick HIS teeth (don't ask me where he got them!) in Kermits mouth. The demonstration then proceeds, and when Grover asks Kermit for his "teeth" back, Kermit starts chomping frantically and chases Grover off the screen!
3) "Oh, baby, baby, listen to the heart of a frog!"
4)Kermit (from ss news) visits "Old MacDonald's farm, which has now been turned into a health spa!
K-"what was that splash?"
OM-"Oh, ak-eye! That came from the new swimming puoooel!"
K-"The swimming puoooel?"
OM-"Eye, laddie! It's complete with a jaquooozi!"
K- "A Jaquooozie?"
OM-"Ak-eye! In fact here come some of the animals from it now."
Goose- "That was a beautifull swan dive, dear!"
Swan-"My Dear, all my dives are "swan dives"!" (They both exit laughing)

Walk/Don't Walk segment

The way the Walk/Don't Walk segment ended: Kermit got so frustrated with the sign reverting to DONT WALK every time he tried to cross, that he just gave up and left. Once kermit was out of the picture, the sign stayed on WALK, AND the whole stanchion pole assembly sprouted feet and started walking away. There was this 5-note closing music phrase, I think the same one we heard when Grover's boat kept sinking because the passengers kept gathering on one side.
