Maybe it's more because of the opposite pairing of Enter and Exit being featured on the episode.Episode 406 has one letter sponsor: D, but it has a segment about the letter E: E for Enter and Exit.
Including Episode 2496, in which 4 was the number sponsor.Episodes 2843 and 3088, despite being sponsored by 10, had They Can't Take That Away from Me, a song about the number 0. Multiple other non-0-sponsored Sesame Street episodes after Season 19 also incorrectly had They Can't Take That Away from Me.
Also, the first three episodes that featured the "Hello, Sammy" segment with Carol Channing - a segment about the letter S - were apparently sponsored by D, K, and 5 (Episode 1951); N, O, and 9 (Episode 2006); and c, d and 9 (was it 2030?) respectively. All subsequent airings of that segment were in episodes sponsored by S.
