Muppets can still hit the top, look JHC at one time it was so big it almost bought Disney, it can still reach that height from which it fallen... Disney got it head up there ***** and so does WB... While WB might of marketed Scooby right, look at all there other crap they've screwed up... All there comic projects... Batman 1 and 2 bringing in good money... but WB gets greedy and wants more toys so they lighten up the franchise with B3 and then with the OH SO CRAPPY Batman 4(Which lost them a lot of money)... Now look at there superman project they expect be filming both Batman and Superman this year around november... They don't have a directer for Superman(2 DIRECTORS have already left the project), Batman has a director and they just started writing the script... Can you say rushed! I've already discussed Disney... The best place is indepentently, you just need patience... Sure if you want crap let go with Disney or WB... You want quality have patience and we'll get it!

To be honest, i don't want crap where all they do is kiddy direct to video sequels and people get annoyed by how much they are in the media BUT i don't want quality where you wait 3 years between shows and can't find their merchandise on the streets aisde from in specialist stores, and your closest friends thought they were retired years ago. I think a mix somewhere inbetween is right for the Muppets - people should know who they are, what they are currently doing, and where to get their stuff - and they should be reminded of all that every so often.

kinda topic crazy, but who cares;-)

Yes i would have to say there is more Scooby out there, i mean at least tons of Food products as Jamie listed! There's still a lot of both Pooh and Scooby but i agree it has died down. although Piglet's new movie i'm sure will fire things up again....whao! roast piglet pork! Maybe it's come to a point that it's all over the place now people don't even notice it anymore! LOL!

So they are making a second Scooby live action movie? that would add more wood to the fire for good old Scoob, i really didn't like the first movie that much though.

Zack, Rowlf the, waiting for a live action The Jetson's Movie, that would be cool! Dog.

Zack,

The WB is already has a script for a live-action "Jetsons", they just need a director and a cast.

Scooby Doo 2 or Scooby Doo Duo, will be released March 2004. Alici Silverstone and Seth Green have joined the cast. The gang go back to their home town of Coolvillie, to find that a mysteryious masked villian is has created a Monster Machine to scary away the people of the town. The monsters will be classic Mystery INC villians. Silverstone will play a reporter and Green, a musuesm historian of the town. Scooby has a new direct to video movie coming this fall. There be a second season of the all new, What's New Scooby Doo? for Kids WB and Cartoon Network.

I thought they were working on a joint Superman vs Batman live action movie. I've heard a lot about that. They are doing seperate films too?

That is inspired casting Zack!!!! I'm sure some pop star will play Judy (ala Tiffany a few years ago for the animated film), but who could Jane and George? Thats a tough one.

I've been following this saga for years. Here's the latest lowdown from the top of my head.

The Superman vs. Batman movie was ditched a year or two ago in favor of seperate movies. Batman is still undergoing multiple incarnations. Looks like a Batman Year One movie will be the best bet to see the light of day.

Superman is still in preproduction ****. Tim Burton was set to direct with Nick Cage playing Superman, but they both dropped out. They had a play or pay contract, so that set Warner Brothers back a nice chunk of change (I'm guessing at least 25 to 30 million). Kevin Smith (clerks, chasing amy, dogma, etc.) was brought in to write a new script, as well as at least three other guys. None of those scripts were greenlighted. I forget what the status on the script is now.

Josh Harnett was being courted earlier this year to sign a 3 picture Superman deal, but he turned it down. They were also looking at everyone from Brandon Fraiser to some soap star (Boomer somebody). I think as of right now they still haven't cast.

I can't remember who signed on to play Jimmy, but I do believe that has been cast. Anthony Hopkins had also signed on at one point to play Jar El (Superman's Dad), but I dont' think he's attached anymore.

If this movie ever happens, it will undoubtably be the most expensive movie in history due to all the costs WB has racked up just in preproduction. I'm betting we'll see a Smallville movie on the big screen before we see another Superman movie.

I'm all about paying 7 bucks to see a 50 foot Tom Welling. :flirt:

 You quit.

Seriously, I heard the Superman vs Batman film spoken about like a done deal just a couple of months ago. Although, I also heard that a Batman movie was too. Just darn confusing. Makes me think they're planning something entirely different. I didn't like the colorful departure in the third Batman film. Burton's take on the films was much more interesting.

Ugh, Nick Cage as Superman. I heard that too. Totally hated the idea. He's too balding, quirky and unattractive to play the man of steal. He's good for other roles. You can't just reinvent such an American icon that way. Tom Welling would be much better.

I would like to see a Batman Beyond live action film. I've heard it would be too expensive to make because of its futuristic elements. but that's definitely the way to go after they totally killed the original Batman franchise with Batman and Robin.
