a few years ago my family was celebrating my dad's birthday and we went out to eat and used a knife from the place to cut the cake we brought with us and accidently left the knife in the cake box and brought it home with us. it's a good knife though!

Yeah what's up with that? I mean, it works fine in the room, it works fine most of the stay, and then when I get home and try to write something, it dies. Jeeze, do they put self destruct mechanisms in them or something?
