I'm not going to lie, this is starting to look very peculiar. . . .

Notice how since about mid-to-late March, we've been going through this exact same pattern: we'll have about five days of new COVID cases, then two days of no new cases, then five more days of new cases, then two more days of no new cases. An exact pattern for over two months. Something about this seems incredibly strange.

I was at Shoprite and then Walmart, and more often than not customers had no masks on.
I went in both places with a mask, and found I didn’t need one.

Nobody was acting Karen-crazy.
Nobody asked to see my vaccination card, but I have it in case.
So another step closer to normal.
What’s so horrible about that?

And I have no reason to lie. I got my vaccine, end of story.

I’m not saying people need to continue wearing masks even after being fully vaccinated, if you got both shots and you don’t want to wear your mask anymore, do what you want to do, it’s your life. What I am saying is I’m frustrated with the fact that people who aren’t vaccinated at all can easily lie saying they were just because they don’t want to abide by the rules, resulting in the virus continuing to spread.

This is why I think this optional mask privilege for people who are fully vaccinated should be looked at more, at least showing you have your record of your vaccinations. Unvaccinated people can easily take advantage of lying, and they already have.

That is true. But apart from showing your vaccination card, how can this be enforced?
It is unfortunate people will lie about shots so not to wear a mask. Basically we’re rolling on an honor system, and not everyone will be honest. That’s part of human nature.

At least today I saw other people with their masks off. And no one gave me any dirty looks when I took off mine. I’m not ditching my mask yet. You still can’t get into a doctor’s office without one.
But for grocery shopping, it’s a start.

Alright, so I just want a general opinion from everyone who’s been fully vaccinated out of curiousness.

Are you still choosing to wear your mask when going out or no? No judgments from me, like I said, do what you want with your life but figured I’d ask.

I carry one with me in the event that an establishment I enter still requires it as per their individual guidelines, otherwise, if I'm just out and about minding my own business, I'll do without. It's like I said, as long as the CDC and/or Dr. Fauci are saying it's okay to go without masks, I'm more inclined to listen and believe them, as opposed to politicians who don't know what they're talking about and are more concerned about making money than people's health and safety.

I still do. Even though our state's at 50% vaccinated, it's still best to wear a mask out of respect for those who haven't gotten vaccinated.
