Dr Tooth, you need to see the oscar nominated 2009 documentary "Outrage", which exposes just how many virulently anti gay Republicans on the hill are themselves closeted homosexuals. And I still think the elite killed the DC Madam, who was about to reveal a treasure trove of bedroom secrets on powerful DC politicians. Also notice that(and its mostly Republican politicians) are caught being gay, it's never about actual love...it's like this sort of Roman era deviant power struggle. That's why they all go to Bohemian Grove and bus in male prostitutes. So many Dem and Republican politicians are just sexual deviant scumbags.
But like you were saying, it's really not even an issue other for the rampant hypocrisy issue. Especially Republicans feigning righteous indignation toward things they do in spades. To me the REAL offensive things are when they loot the treasury, lie to go to war, and pull stuff like help engineer a deadly anti gay agenda in "Christian" African nations.
Next year will be nuts...as I predict it won't merely be the predictable boring GOP guys slinging mud and the usual college hipsters voting in another four years of Obama with their twitter smart phones. I forsee a series of truly game changing, out of left field(tho ultimately not surprising) events, or a convergence of disparate layers. These could include a total financial collapse of Europe that spills over to us, new wars, major flareup in the middle east, a natural disaster that's catastrophic in scope, shocking events that could trigger riots or even race riots, or even "terrorism". And the reason I say this is because of a mix of Murphy's Law and eschalogical end timers of any religion wanting to make 2012 sure seem like the end times. "May you live in interesting times"
But regarding the political kabuki, I'm proud of the Occupiers for rejecting the DNC co-option attempt and for speaking out against Obama and Democrats who suck up to wallstreet. I just fear people will fall back into a position of the predictable circular time wasting arguments of 2008
