Read the other day about the Afghan prez "pardoning" a woman in prison for sex outside of marriage who'd been raped by her uncle -- and he was pardoning her because she'd agreed to marry the uncle! And we SUPPORT these people without demanding serious change? WHAT?

The entire Middle East disgusts me. Can we say stuck in 1300? BC? I knew we could.

People truly don't realize the level of hatred the Middle East has towards women.

And frankly, it's attitudes like that that assure them their continued place in poverty and outside the modern world.

Well when the US goes and invades a country in yet another immoral war of aggression and appoints a corrupt puppet regime, little things like human rights tend to fall by the wayside. So many private military companies that get big defense bucks in federal financing continually get caught doing very horrible things, and noone does anything. Meanwhile our so called enemy The Taliban is not so secretly being financed by Pakistan whom we give billions too. As well most the world's heroin comes from Afghanistan. Obama should have had sense to pull us out, not make the war even worse.

Oh true. The US and its allies may have slaughtered and maimed untold innocents in the last ten years, but the Middle East is a horrible place for women, gays, Shiites, Christians, etc.
