Well, I have to say I'm a pretty big Friends fanatic. It's my second obsession after the Muppets. I have all the seasons on DVD and when it ended last year I felt like a chapter of my life had ended too (pretty sad, I know!).

But, I like some other sitcoms too. I've always loved Full House and the Cosby Show.

Currently I think the best sitcom on t.v. is NBC's Scrubs. It's quirky and kind of fun and I don't think it gets enough praise for how funny it really is.

When I see the words, "Best Ever" and "Sit" and "com" together, the first thought that hit's my nerve centres is, "Fawlty" refering to the "Best Ever" lists, becuase I dislike them...:stick_out_tongue:....the next two words are, "Fawlty Towers!"

Gosh is that a good sit-com! It's the best, best, best of british comedy. Way to go!

Ok...sorry, now that's said.

I also like the Simpsons, and the Addam's Family.

I'd have to disagree with you, there. I used to like both when I was younger, but I don't think they appreciate with age that well. But I did love watching Dave Couilier. He is the only thing Bearable in the show, now that I am older.

Personally, for "Best" sitcoms, other than personal favorite Sitcoms, Here's my list:

  • I love Lucy
  • The Honeymooners
  • Get Smart
  • All in the Family
  • Mash
  • MAry Tyler Moore
  • The Jeffersons
  • Seinfeld

I like all those, myself, but for personal favorites, I'll add Third Rock, ALF, Mork and Mindy, Perfect Strangers, Everybody loves Raymond, and King Of Queens

Kimp, Lost isn't a sitcom.. neither is Kids in the Hall, that's a sketch comedy.

Some of mine:
Home Improvement - My favourite show for years and years I think I've seen every episode.
Full House - Uncle Jesse was my Hero! Even when he had his mullet...
That 70's Show
Frasier
WKRP in Cincinatti - I LOVE watching the reruns of this!
Yeah, people listed cartoons, too, when I thought we were being asked about sitcoms, but oh well. lol. Last time I checked The Muppet Show, Animaniacs and the Roadrunner show weren't situation comedies. At any rate, these are some of my top favorites...

The Golden Girls
Full House
The Mary Tyler Moore Show
The Cosby Show
Friends
I Love Lucy
Three's Company

Heehee. Drtooth, it's true, Full House isn't the best to look back on, because it's kind of geared to younger people, and it's very 80's/90's. Still REALLY cool, though. I guess its just nostalgic.
Home Improvement however, isn't as bad for that, as it's geared to adults and I like the humour.

Who mentioned Family Matters? Forgot about that show.
