Who would be your dream Muppet replica? Any and all Muppets in the history of Muppetdom are elegible.

I would LOVE a real, honest to goodness Miss Piggy, just like she was on the Muppet Show in the later seasons.

I am putting my hair behind my ears with my wrists in glee just thinking about it!
I was thinking about this because presumably they're only going to do a limited number of characters... I still class Rowlf as one of the main Muppets (not sure if Disney do though!) so I would love to see a Rowlf replica... but thinking of which one would blow me away... if done correctly a Dr. Teeth would be frickin' awesome!

Personally I think this is exactly the kind of product they need to be producing to get the muppets on track.

Instead of producing low quality, generic dolls they are producing a quality replica.

Unfortunatly Disney is put in a catch-22 with the muppets. The product is in bad shape right now and i think no matter what they do, the fan base won't give them credit.

If the muppets fail, it'll be because of disney. If they make a comeback it'll because of their own ability.

I usualy only post so often on message boards mainly because internet communities seem to fall into one of two categories. They are either so pessimistic you wonder if they like anything, or they're so optimistic that you could present them dirt and they'd worship it like a god.

Personally I think this is a solid idea. It's worked for Star Wars and ironically has been one of the things Disney has done right over the last 8-9 years.

Now creating a bad, half effort puppet would cheapen the muppets. Creating a high end collectible, that captures the essecense of the product and is what many fans have always wanted is a nice idea.

Whether they pull it off, i don't know. But if any brand could do this project, it's Master Replicas.

I've made myself a Kermit replica poser to tide me over 'til the Master Replica's one is released.

The only thing that is worrying me is how much future releases will retail for... I mean no disrespect when I say that Kermit is quite small and reasonably uncomplicated in design and apparently will retail for $199.

My guess is Animal will retail for more because although he's probably a similar size he is much more complicated - (having different fabric/fur types and the added addition of clothing... and hopefully chains!)...

And how about someone like Fozzie who is slightly bigger (I was going to use Piggy as an example... but I don't think she would like being described as being "slightly bigger"!)... again I could imagine a Fozzie replica being maybe $299 or more...

I'm always of the mindset that if I collect something I start at the beginning and I buy everything... but I'm not sure if financially I can afford two of these a year if the price starts creeping up as the Muppets they choose get more complex... that said I still think I'll be picking up a Kermit if I can and hoping I can keep up with the collection (just imagine having a whole group of lifesize Muppets of your very own)!
