a couple of comments, even though the questions weren't directed at me...

sure they had to cancel the Animal exclusive for San Diego, but I can't see a company go through the effort of coming up with an exclusive that cool and then never produce it because the timing got messed up.

if Palisades gets to series 5 or 6 and hasn't gotten license to do Muppets Tonight, et al...I'll be both shocked and disappointed

Muppet Figures: Jockeying for Positions

I was giving this subject some further consideration, and here are my thoughts
Everyone knows that to make Pigs in Space, (Swinetrek), and Vet's Hospital work they both need all three characters. Also, except for the Swedish Chef and his kitchen, the playsets tie in with at least one figure of the corresponding series.
A. Series 5: Keep Reporter Kermit on the outer space planet; while the lineup would include the Muppet Newscaster, Gonzo with Camilla, Rizzo and Beard (or Lips as others call him).
B. Series 6: Here's where it gets a little tricky.
1 If the playset remains Vet's Hospital, then make one of the nurses the exclusive figure included with it. Personally, I'd prefer to see Nurse Janice in the linup bumping Nurse Piggy to the playset, but that's a matter of opinion.
2 If the playsets stays as the Muppet Show theatre, then Sweetums should be included with it, while the lineup could be Statler, Waldorf, Pops, and Uncle Deadly (I hope this guy's the one who accompanied Vincent Price in the Haunted House sketch).
C. Series 7: This one could be Beaureguard, Nurse Janice, Nurse Piggy, and Dr. Bob with the playset being Vet's Hospital. The playset could then include Patient Kermit as he appeared in the sketch for the song "The Lime and the Coconut".
Just some thoughts for the folks here at Muppet Central, and hopefully over at Palisades as well.

The Count wishes everyone a great summer.

hey Count

welcome to MC
like your ideas but wanted to let you know Lips and Beard are two different characters. Lips was the trumpet player on the old series also seen in great Muppet Caper, Muppet Christmas Carol and several specials. He's got a round orange head, wild yellow hair, round disc eyes and a small goatee (if you see someone named ZOOTANDDINGO, post he has Lips as his avatar (supplied by yours truely). Beard was the lead guitar for the band Solid Foam on the Jim Henson Hour, he looked like a memebr of ZZTOP...all hair and glasses. Hope this helps.

Statler and Waldorf are in Series 6. Which is/ws slated for the 3rd quarter of '03. (july-Septemberish) But I know stuff has been pushed back recently. I don't know what that has done to '03.

Hi, this question is for ResidentLilly.
In the tradition of Vanishing Cream Beaker and Invisible Beaker, will the Animal figure be released at any time in the future? Also, will there be individual figures made of the playset figures for those who just want the figure instead of having to get the playset? BTW: You've gained my instant admiration for living in one of my most favorite cities in all the US. I remember visiting the Baltimore Aquarium and dining at the Harborplace restaurants when I was a young batboy. Keep up the great work over there at Palisades. Who knows, perhaps the success of this line could then be translated into other Muppet-based figure lines. Have a great summer, and congratulations on your upcoming wedding.
