Count,

Thanks.

Animal, the one that got s-canned by the factory, will probably happen at some point. Maybe MuppetFest, maybe some other con. As for figures in playsets automatically being an exclusive somewhere else. Not necessarily...Chef might be, but you'd have to make him dirty or something, in which case I could see him looking significantly different than the regular version. First Mate Piggy would not make sense out of the playset, same as a Vet's Hospital fig. SO some could, for sure, but it is not always a given.

Baltimore is great. Lived here most of my young adult life and left for many years for school, jobs, chicks, etc...but then came back when I started working for Palisades. It's a great small city. Big enough to be a city, but small enough to be quaint in the areas where they aren't killing people of course. But overall, great town. Everyone should visit when they get the chance.

OK, OK...everyone can stay at my house!

Hey Ken,

I was in there for the long haul with Playmates Star Trek line, and I was really looking forward to Palisades TOS anniversary piece before it got cancelled. You say that some packaged versions were made. What would I have to do to get one of those? (nudge, nudge, bribe, bribe) :stick_out_tongue:

heh heh heh...

(BTW, for those keeping score...there was no Zen toy review today because of some server...issues, with the site. I did write it, however, and for anyone intersted in reading it without the pictures or the new rating system, I put it up on an MSN group I beling to. It's at http://groups.msn.com/clubtopia and you don't have to join to read it, just to post. It's a good group though, everyone should join.)

That avatar of yours, grail, reminds me...I can't wait to get my grubby mitts on that Darkness figure of McF's...it looks to be the coolest fig of the line, no doubt.

no doubt indeed...I'm really waiting for the Ash, Evil Ash two-pack for later this year, though...sure Ash's right arm snaps off as soon as you twist it once, but if you leave it in the package, it's fine.

I would like to point out for the record that i only have 5 things in the package total...1 tux Kermit, 1 long-hair Piggy, 1 WW Dr. Teeth, 1 "Invisible" Space Ghost, and 1 Ash vs. The Pit Witch. I even took my Zorak out of the package.

Count-

Marvin Suggs & the Muppephones should be Marvin Suggs and the Muppaphones. Where the heck did you get Marvin Sox from?

As far as I know, Beauregard is still slated to be part of Series 5: Gonzo in suit w/Camilla pack-in, Rizzo, The Newsman, and Beauregard, Koozebane playset with Reporter Kermit.

The stage playset is a deluxe playset and is alongside the regular series but not a part of it. Sweetums is slated to come with the stage playset, possibly Robin too.

See?? I'm always soooo late! I even missed out on getting to joke along with the Polar Bear gags!! Sooooo...

SMIG--does that make Miss Piggy a Polar Bear too? Nope, she'd be a PORKer bear! HAAA!!

There, I'm late, it's out of place, but I feel better.

Ken, you had stated the contract on the Muppet figures goes through 2005. At four series' a year, plus the two from this year, that sounds like 14 series' at least! And that's providing that you only release one series a quarter! Is my math correct on this?

Throughout this thread you've mentioned that some characters aren't covered under the contract. When characters ARE covered by the contract, does that mean they're going to be made or only could be made? If the series is still going strong when 2005 rolls around, can the contract be renewed? Would more characters be added? Could more characters ever be added to the current contract? I'm guessing that last one is unlikely, but I figure I'll ask anyway.

You say Reporter Kermit is coming along; how is the Koozebane playset coming? Any changes to which aliens will be included? I'll be content so long as it still has the Merdlelidops popping out of the craters as on the show and as per your suggestion, the male and female Koozebanians and the Koozebanian Phoob. BTW, I asked Henson.com for a spelling of the word 'merdlelidop' and apparently there isn't any. The script just called for them to make "merping" sounds. Now if you could make them "merp" that would be too cool!

I saw a picture of the EB exclusive Gonzo and his cannon was gray. Is this how it's actually going to be then, the regular Gonzo with a circus painted cannon and the exclusive with a gray cannon? If so, terrific. Nice to have some variety. Oh, I should ask this- do you know offhand if there are any other figures that can fit in Gonzo's cannon? That's part of the reason I'm actually getting the Gonzo exclusive- one is to have the crash helmet version, the other though is to have another cannon so he can coax or connive a castmate into doing some sort of crazy cannonball act with him (or more than likely it could just be an accident). A third reason, if the answer to the first question in this paragraph is yes, is to have the two differently painted cannons.

Will the series five Gonzo come with his trumpet?

What's the status of the stage playset in terms of how far along it is? Any possibility of an orchestra pit, even a mock-up of one? About how far would it extend? I take it you probably wouldn't include the whole house (for those of you with low theatre knowledge, that's the name for the area where the audience sits.) Any idea of dimensions?

You were thinking of ten inches for Sweetums. This if fine by me, so long as it wouldn't automatically eliminate the future possibility of a Thog (who would, with a ten inch Sweetums, have to clock in at at least 11 1/2". Backstage playset?) Have you ever seen the Muppet book "Two for the Show"? It's got a few pictures of Sweetums in scale to some other Muppets that might be helpful. I have a copy and if you ask nicely I can loan it to you.

What's your take on the following figs:

Annie Sue- there are too few female figures in the line, but is she well-known enough/worth it?

Boppity and Gloat two-pack- this would probably be the best way to do this; also, these were the two most frequently used small monsters

Wayne & Wanda- maybe with a balcony, some props to drop on them?

George the Janitor- I know you've already got a janitor figure in Beauregard, but George was a fun character and a nicely grouchy personality. Would be suh-weet if he could come with some Ragg Mopps.

There, that should do it for one evening.

On another note, my TRU hasn't gotten in the tux Kermit or Muppet Labs yet, but I'm keeping in touch for when they do.
