Hey,
Haven't posted for a while, but now that the figures are coming out and all, people in general are posting a lot more, too, so I thought I'd chime in. Anyways, to Ken, congratulations on the success of the line thus far, and I only hope it continues. Well, not too much, yet, as I still haven't gotten mine. I hope the rest of the consumers out there hungry for their Muppet merchandise give me a chance, too. Anyways, about something you brought up, you said sculpting was being started on Sweetums, and I was just wondering what was the final decision about all-plastic versus cloth as well, and what size he's shaping up (literally) to be. Otherwise, I just can't wait to get my hands on all of series 1, and to continue to look forward to the rest of the line. Can't wait to see those series 3 pics. Oh, that reminds me! Another thing, when do you think we can see the newly enhanced Animal, ya know, from the front? Anyways, that's it for now. Thanks, again. Take care.

That's a shame to hear that nobody has nabbed Floyd yet. You'd think a chain like Sam Goody (or Tower Records) would try to carry the band repaints, but I guess like everyone else they want the really big guys.

Speaking of all these Fozzie ideas, something that just popped into my head is a Stand-Up Fozzie. Not necessarily an exact parody, but picture a Fozzie in baggy pants and Robin Williams-esque rainbow suspenders, an inflated rubber glove "hat," a banjo, etc. Sort of a throwback to when the Muppets (I remember Fozzie in particular) would dress up like interviewees in "Muppet Magazine."

But I digress.

Ken, is it known yet what the requirements, restrictions, and limitations are for purchasing Vanishing Cream Beaker at the con? I just remember reading about rules for the Philly con Dr. Teeth, and was wondering if anything of that ilk will apply to Beaker. Thanks.

WOAH! HOLD ON!!

Fozzie in a WIG? Like PIGGY??? No way, man! LOL! Besides, did you ask Piggy first?

Sam the Eagle as the Minute Man deal...if it's done and he does come with a quill pen, it would be funny if he has an eagle tail and one of the middle feathers is missing but is in the ink jar! LOL!

Sesame Street? You betcha I'd buy that series. But I would need it to come with the classic characters for sure...even some of the ones not used anymore (Roosevelt Franklin, Sam the machine, etc.)

My figures ain't got here yet. They ain't nowhere. If you have your figs, you are a lucky dog, or cat, or chicken, or rat, or penguin, or...

Sam Goody Rocks!

I have already ordered the figures online and they will be coming this Monday. I went window shopping today and discovered the big FAO here is absolutely clueless about the series. I was dismissive about it and went to Sam Goody down the street where they had the figures in stock and prominently displayed! Very happy!!!! I couldn't resist so I got a Kermit. So, I'll have two.

Ken, you should definitely do some exclusives with Goody because they seem respect the product. Just a suggestion. Oh, and I do have another question - My Kermit figure totally kicks major butt, but one of his legs is very slightly out of socket. Is there anything I can do to pop it in? He still stands on his own with a little work, but just wanted to see if there was something a resourceful guy like me could do.

Sam Goody will have the Vacation Fozzie in series 2. Sam Goody is part of the Musicland Group. They also own On Cue, Suncoast and my fave Media Play.

Ahhh, forgot about that one. I just think it's a shame that TRU got an exclusive when many local stores don't seem to be taking much notice of the line. I hope the Suncoast/Goody chain gets a lot more exclusives!

Answering the questoin about limits on Vanishing Cream Beaker:

We don't have a solid plan yet, but a limit will be in effect. Why? If we say no limit, then the "scalpers" can buy 100 pieces and jack up the price. We do understand that some people want two for themselves and may be on a mission to pick up extras for friends, etc., so that's why we haven't figured out a game plan yet.

Hey Ken & Mike

I've got a friend/contact from my work who's in senior management at 'Hamleys' in Regent Street, London. She said the head buyer there hadn't to her knowledge been approached by anyone about these Muppet figures whatsoever, and they would have likely been interested.

They are like the biggest toy store in the UK, and one of the biggest in the world, on level with Toys R Us and FAO - plus they are independant so they can buy large or small quantities from smaller toy companies.

I know you can get them at Forbidden Planet over here, (at double the U.S price i might add) but it might have been good to distribute them a bit more widely because there are big players here who don't know much about the line yet.
