Got Bean...?

Forgive me if this has been answered and I missed it... but is there any chance of a BEAN BUNNY...?

True, I don't remember Bean doing... well... ANYTHING important on the show... but he's the STAR of the Muppets 3-D Exhibit at DisneyWorld! That must count for something, right?

Have you ever considered doing a M.A.M.A. figure? M.A.M.A. was the robot from the Dudley Moore episode, which was pretty much the star of that episode, it was a robot which could perform any musical feet, from the theme of the Muppet Show, to background sounds for Pigs in Space. What do the rest of you think about making this a figure, and what accessories do you think it would come with? I think, maybe it would have real exploding action (refer to the show if you need to know why), and possibly even play some tunes (I know this starts to sound over the budget, but a man can dream, can't he). So, what do y'all think?

pepe figure(from lilly)

>>>Actually want to know the truth? It was the fine folks at Henson that ASKED me to do that original poll cause they were just gonna waive the fact that he was a movie character and let us do him anyway. They just wanted to see what true fan reaction might be. SO I had the green light, but after the poll results came in and basically said "no way jose" we put it on the backburner<<

WOW! Thanks so much fellow elitest fans! I had no idea a few people on a poll could sway a product that could sell wherehouse loads from being made. WOO HOO! I still can't believe there were people on here who actually didn't want a Pepe figure made, it truly boggles the mind.

TO KEN and JHC: Please don't let a small poll of detractors sway you from making a Pepe figure. Its a no brainer this would sell BIG time, seeing as everybody who saw MFS or the LJS commercials remembers him.

TRUE FAN REACTION? If pics were posted of a Pepe prototype...no, if just the news alone Pepe would be made into an articulated figure, all those folks who balked at the idea would be calling EB to reserve there's a year in advance.

Perhaps some would like the Muppets to remain a nostalgic nod to the past in a broadway vaudville showtunes kind of way...but the majority of fans (while holding a fond candle to that) are waving in the future, with ingenuis characters like Pepe the king prawn leading the way.

Don't listen to miniscule polls...Pepe in series six!(or non series specific exclusive!)

EB Piggy Exclusive

I apologize if this information is available somewhere else, but I've done a bit of looking and can't find specific info:

For the EB Exclusive Piggy, besides her hair down sculpt, what else is different? Does she come with different accessories? EB's site shows what they say is a "prototype" with Piggy and a pink boa, but no other objects.

I much prefer the sculpt on the exclusive, but am debating whether to search her out if she is more expensive but comes with less "stuff".

Thanks,

GWGumby

I believe the same accessories are included except that her mirror is purple on the exclusive. She's definitely worth hunting down.

Ken-

I just sent you head to toe snaps of MAMA. I think this is a very good pack-in for a character who needs one.

About the Pepe issue....

At the risk of opening a can of worms and getting flamed-- I think what people objected to with the Pepe in Series 6 poll was the idea of losing an already-announced character to make way for Pepe. If you read the posts that went with the poll, most people seemed to have a tough time deciding at first. There was definitely a lot of pro-Pepe feelings, but ultimately people didn't want to give up a figure that has already been announced.

I think if we were asked 'Do you want a Pepe figure?' The answer would be almost a unanimous 'yes.' But when asked 'do you want to give up one of the figures we've announced so that we can make a Pepe?'-- well, that is a dicey issue. What would we be giving up? What if the figure that gets pushed back is the figure you most wanted to see? Pepe is great, but in a Muppet Show line of figures, do we want Pepe instead of Dr. Bob or Link? I am not arguing against Pepe (actually, I voted in favor of Pepe because I believe this line is going to be successful and we will ultimately get Pepe and whatever character got bumped from Series 6 to make room for him). I'm just saying, as I remember it, the poll was close and the posts indicated that people felt torn.

If Ken and company made Palisades figures exclusively for the 200+ people on here, then I think the argument would be valid. But the fact is this line is getting a huge release...virtually every single toy or fad outlet in the country is getting shipments upon shipments of these figures soon. Average toy enthusist joe and jane schmoe would buy a million Pepe's before a series six rowlf variant, im sorry...I mean 'Dr. bob' figure. there are going to be quite a bit of 'main 4' variants, so really, its not like any original characters(say mahna mahna or droop) were going to be bumped. If a obscure character like Droop would be bumped, I'd say nay. But more main 4/5 variants? I say put the king prawn in!

Could it be that there's new support for the little prawn...I mean King Prawn? What makes Pepe so cool is that he seamlessly integrates into the cast.
