The Muppet Theater set has been pushed back for at least a year so it's a bit early to go too far into details. However, Ken has reported it will have movable fabric curtains, a balcony and each playset will be able to on the stage (one at a time, of course). I don't think there will be any rigging involved with the sets. I think there will be some default background pieces, though. Just flat scenery things. It was talked about, but I'm not sure if it was confirmed. The thing will be huge to begin with. I know it will be well over two feet tall, maybe over three. No exact size has been determined. There will be no theater seats. Can't fit those in. There will be a great amount of detail in the theater, though. It has also been said that there will be a hook to latch on a future backstage set. That's about all that can be said for now.

The characters will not have expressions on their faces. This is a Henson decision. They don't want to see a scrunched-faced Kermit sitting on a shelf. Animal's eyes are cool, but such articulation is hard to do with other characters. This includes Gonzo. Just too small to make that sort of articulation I think. I wouldn't count on that. There was going to be articulation to Beaker's mouth, but it was scrapped because it was too small of a piece to allow for such articulation.
Thanx frogboy4! I apreciate it! wow! That's cool that their actually going to make the playset two feet tall! Wow! Will it include the whole thing? Like the balconies and audience seats? That's awesome that their going to make a backstage! Hope I'll be able to afford it! Wow! Thanx! I'm glad you're going to be making it compatible with the other sets. Wow!

WOW!

Whoa Super Scooter, don't go getting too excited. As Luke and I pointed out, those plans have changed, and the playset will now be a much smaller scale, if it is produced at all (I think it will, but it will be at least a year). What Frogboy detailed is not what Palisades is planning now.

Perhaps frogboy4 lept into a former self of himself. Please pardon the bad pun. My theory as to what's happened to him is something non-reparable by cranial-computer linkage. His memory probably got "swiss cheesed" if you understand my reference. The only hope for him is that someday soon, he'll finally make that final leap back home!

Ive been purchasing all these wonderful figures and my only complaints so far are Short-Haired Piggy, Sam the Eagle, and Rowlf. I am not bothering buying most of the special editions of each figure, since I cant afford it, so my focus is on getting every single "regular" figure. Couldn't Sam the Eagle be his usual naked self, and just make the Treasure Island edition an exclusive with series 3... or make the naked Sam and include his Treasure Island outfit as the accessories? Otherwise people who don't want this one will have to wait at least a year to get a regular Sam. Same thing with Rowlf. I'm really not into these tuxedo versions, and my friends, my brother, and I all agree that it would look much cooler to have a naked Rowlf. I feel like I have to buy the figures 1) If they are a better version of the regular figures or 3) If they are the only version. This means that I bought long-haired Piggy instead of short-haired and wish I could buy naked Rowlf and Sam. Oh whoops- I forgot another complaint. Do we have to have another Gonzo in series (6 was it?) I realize this one comes with Camilla, but I feel like it ruins the wave by making a duplicate character when it could include a completely different one. Camilla could come with someone else if that's the reason for it. Or forget Camilla for now and make Sweetums.

I have a question about Pepe. What clothes will he be wearing? I know the tutu is gonna be an exclusive or variant or whatever. But what is the standard one going to be wearing. In Muppets From Space he wore a hooded gray sweatshirt with a yellow-ish shirt underneath. In A Very Merry Muppet Christmas didn't he wear like a hawaiian print shirt? Anyway, I realized it wasn't the hoodie. I was just wonder

I wouldn't mind seeing him dressed like he was in MFS, since that was really his mark of fame thus far.

Maybe a Long John Silver's employee outfit...(J/K)
