Guys,

About the Dr Teeth repaint at the Fair.

If your a collector then you want to collect stuff, Whats the point of going to a store and buying, It will get boring.
So this seems like fun to get right down to it and search for what you want.

I am a Muppet Collector and i dont expect ever thing to be available for me, So i search.

Im in England i still got my Dr Teeth repaint, There were like four people who would have got it for me!

So, even tho i forgot what im writing about, Heres my conclusion...

If you want it bad enough, and you like it enough, Then you wont sit and winge about not having it, You will get to it and make sure you get one.

Get it !?

See ya

Ken,

She's a Fox of the Australian variety called Holly Valance - you can check her out at http://www.hollyvalance.net - she's an actress/singer who has a video called 'Kiss Kiss' where she dances naked with strobe lights attached to her erm 'hooters' - download and enjoy ! ;-)

Ken,

Thanks for taking the time to discuss the exclusives debate. It really shows that you and your company are concerned about the line and it's collectors.

Geez, I don't pay attention to the threads for a little while, and all of a sudden there is a war errupting over a Dr. Teeth variant?!?!?!?!?!?!

Ken, I gotta tell you, please don't (and I know as a buisnessman you won't) be put off, upset, or alter plans with the exclusives. They are a fact of life. What's the big deal anyway. So they are painted a little different. You can still have a Dr. Teeth of your very own in just a few days or weeks.

I don't understand what all the bickering over this stuff is about. Be happy there is a darn Dr. Teeth figure in the first place, or a Crazy Harry, Sam the Eagle, Floyd, Zoot, or Janice. These are characters that I never in a million years thought would ever see the light of day in three dimensional form.

Take a lesson from the creations you guys collect and adore, be thankful for what you got, and look at the sunny side of the street for once.

(Isn't everyone glad I'm posting again. I'll now return to my happy go lucky self)

Radionate,

But Palisades did change/alter their plans for the exclusives - they were going to be different characters from the actual waves and now they'll be repaints and stuff like that. A good company is one that can adapt to the feelings, moods, whims and buying trends of its paying customers.

I see both sides of the fence in the Dr Teeth 'Exclusive' debate - i don't feel massively sympathetic to those who didn't even bother to email Palisades saying they would be interested in a figure beforehand, but are now complaining they haven't got one. To the small few who did bother, but didn't get one because there wasn't enough interest/figures left over and had absolutely no way of getting to the conventions, i do feel sorry for - but i also see the point of doing these exclusives in the first place and i'm sure they brought a lot of attention to the Palisades booth.

We at MC are not experienced in all this exclusive stuff, and convention merchandise, so it's great to see people getting the hang of appointing designated showgoers to pick up figures to order from the other people here. As you say they are just repaints, but i would be more worried if people didn't want them ! ;-)

Ken-

Could you list the dates and places of upcoming events where the exclusives will/may be sold this year? I was hoping to go to the one in San Diego, but that's pretty far from here. Who knows, though. Hey, I could sell one of the figures to finance the plane trip! Just kidding!

Chicago is the WizardWorld show and that's July 4th weekend. The San Diego Show is that first weekend in August I think. Have to get back to you on that.

Vanishing Cream Beaker is at Chicago, Animal in black T-shirt is in San Diego.

To that earlier post...thanks Kane...I appreciate the sentiments...
