First, I'm working on a thead called "Don't ask ken at Palisades!" which will basically be.......this is an undertaking.

Hey...I think Phillip and Annika are working on a FAQ, an official one, so you don't need to take the time to do this.

Poor Ken you put up with so much from us. I agree, the Stompin' Wampa is very cool. I also like the one that comes with the leeeeeetle Darth Vader.

I was only able to find the Hoth set. Still looking for the other three. Can't wait to get my grubby mitts on X-wing Adventure. This weekend was like friggin Star Wars Christmas. Landed about every new Star Wars fig from AOTC, a second set, that I spent many hours opening and positioning for display. Some had some cool little surprises...some I was majorly disappointed in out of the package.

Are the Year Without a Santa Clause figures going to be in scale with the ones that Memory Lane/Playing Mantis did a couple of years ago?

Somewhat. I was not really worried about it, but they are somewhat in scale. Santa is much bigger though in our line. The PM Santa is a bit small if you ask me. Have you opened up and/or played with a Hermey? Great hip joint, a split ball. Look for something similar on Statler and Waldorf. So they can sit and ALSO look great standing with no visible T-crotch.

FOZZI3B3AR
Star Wars MicroMachines Action Fleet, with the ships and tiny little figures whose arms move...Would folks be like me and purchase sets of these things as Muppets if they were made?

Don't know. But they could be cool. Gotta be careful not to over-saturate. But would action figure fans and Muppet fans alike purchase miniature PVC stuff in addition to figures? And another thing...would you buy a large scale figure, ala McF Toys large scale Mandarin Spawn, Crow, etc., of a Muppet action figure. Would you buy a Beaker that was 14 inches tall?

King Prawn Ken-
Is the Exclusive Gonzo from Series 5 a Tux Version or a sweater version?

After Series 3, I am thinking about trying something different with exclusives, so I can't really answer this because I don't know. Was thinking about having any exclusives be a character that is not currently in the line. Example...putting a Gonzo exclusive in a line that has four characters that are NOT Gonzo, and so forth.

Foreignman
Pizza box idea...Here's an idea for the cover of the box, you have it be "Dr. Bunsen Honeydew and Chef's Pizza Pie Paste". The picture on the box would be Dr. Bunsen Honeydew and Chef...the words "CAUTION: Although this pizza doubles as an adhesive, most adhesives don't double as pizza." .... What do ya think, Ken?

Love the idea...it's funny. Was it in the show?

2.)What about a megaphone?(For Rizzo)

Scooter is already coming with one.

Why are so many people afraid of starting flame wars here ? Jeez - if you have an opinion, just come out and say it. There is no need to apologise for what you say, if you truly believe it. I'd also hope people are a bit more intelligent to start any kind of 'flame war' over someones opinions on action figures.

Not a question, but a great post worthy of response. YES, YES. Always speak your mind even if it peeves people...this is a forum...differing opinions is what makes it worthwhile to read.

radionate
So on to a question: What (besides the Muppets) are your three favorite action figure lines out right now?

Star Wars, Marvel Legends and Simpson's are currently the three lines I collect. I also collect Resident Evil/Biohazard figures and merchandise. Even though I don't collect it because of costs, LOTR is one of the best figure lines I have seen in a long, long time, worthy of mention even if I am holding off because of my wallet constraints. I only picked up a few characters that were my faves.

matleo
Lips...Extreme wish list, huh? That's a far cry form the other board when you said you needed more convincing. what finally changed your mind?

I came to my senses. Actually, it is just my education keeps expanding. I watch more shows, learn more and my perceptions change.

frogboy4
Very interesting development. Why and when did the Janice include for the Vet's playset get nixed?

I'm not sure it was ever a solid thing to get nixed or if you had in in your list as speculation. If I said it, it was one of those too early to tell things. Jamie...if you send me your file off list, I will be glad to edit it so that it is more accurate to the current state of things. I would also be willing to edit it as things change and send you the update so you have the current list always at hand. Feel bad for you dude...as so many things change as they go.

FOZZI3B3AR
Tell me more about that Ray Stantz, did u do that yourself or from a kit??

Nice piece ain't it? Rufus has already sent me a portfolio and I am keeping it on file. I am interested in seeing how his work develops. He's pretty good.

Rufus
I think the reason no one has done realistic Ghostbusters figures yet is because Bill Murray doesn't want his likeness used for action figures

You are correct sir. Likeness issues aplenty when it comes to this license. But personally, I would love to do them as super posable 12-inch figures with PVC ghosts. Loved the movies, wish there was a third, and toys would be SUWHEET.

Is that all the outstanding questions?

Sure Phil,
I just pulled all the info (65 pages and my brain is fried) and I'm in the proces of making it tangible (MORE brain frying!!) I may have it readythis afternoon. Actually I have a couple questions I want to ask Ken first cause there is some general info that has been missed and will undoubtedly get asked sooner or later. Might as well do it now. but I'll send you what I have.

You had a bunch of accessories listed as going with Scooter including "portable radio, "To Go" drink tray with two removable soda pop cups with straws, Chinese take-out box, megaphone and clipboard" Are those up-to date?"

finally, do you have a list of finalized accessories for Series 4?

Hope all is well

Hey Matleo,

Even if you do send it to Phil so that your info can be collated into his, would also be good to see your original FAQ idea and the differing ideas you had.

So if you finish it, make sure you post it up here for us to see too !!!

yeah I'll think about it. it's not much of anything. it's actually kind of cool cause well, if you've seen Jamie's chart, that got started after the thread I did on the old board "Piecing the figure rumors" together when jamie and I and several other started looking into some of things that were said and were trying to collect that info into one place so people stopped asking questions like" is Dr. Teeth going to be made and when will he come out if he is made" when it had already been established 4 or 5 thousand times he was in series 1. Anyway, what I have now is basically a list form of Jamie's chart a little less speculation so it's kind of streamlined but also with some other tidbits that have no room on Jamie's chart. So it's like this whole rebirth thing.

Oh I should state, I like Jamie's chart. It's good referance and I referred back to it a lot to verify some things. I think there are some little things that Phil may miss that I've got. Ya know things that aren't neccessarily FAQ's but good things to know nonetheless. Just waiting for ken's response and then I'll bundle it up and send it to Phil.

BTW; ken, you mentioned that you wished they had made a GB3. There was one in the owrks. Aykroyd has this whole script about positive and negative energy and being able to like flick a swtich and you'd see a 'negatove' New York. It got so big they had actually talked about making it a 2 part thing so you'd have GB 3 and 4. Harold (Egon ) Ramis was set to produce and Ivan reitman would direct (of course) and Bill Murray..well, Bill kinda went from talk show to talk sow sayin "I don't want to do it". "I'm in it" I'm in it but I die inthe first 5 minutes" "No, I'm not in it" eventually the project died. Apparently, Aykroyd was real disappointed cause it was apparently something he really wanted to do. here's a link with more info

Ack: Just caught your post. no, I don't excel. Sorry.

14" Beaker? YUP! 14" Fozzie Bear? MOST DEFINITELY!!

Of course, a larger Animal would be cool...not that it has to be from TMM, but we could play like it was!
