Oh yes heralde. I see what you mean. Somebody must really exist in order to imagine everybody else.

Seriously this one does intrigue me. The denial of our existence mentality. Maybe our problems in theory won't worry us if we think we don't really exist so we can't be plagued by them.
Very Buddhist, Bill!

Ah, I didn't know if you meant the plural 'you' or not.
We need to restore the old pronoun "thou" to our language. Thou and its derivatives were second person singular pronouns back in the days of Shakespeare and the translators of the King James Bible. For some strange reason it dropped out of modern English shortly after the American Revolution.

In some urban areas (Noo Yawk, for instance) the word "youse" has been created as a new second person plural pronoun. This also is prevalent in the American south where the word "y'all" serves the same purpose (this word has migrated into the cities by way of the African Americans), however this is a dialectical colloquialism and thus has yet to be accepted as standard English.

It may not be too far off though, considering that the OED just declared "Bling bling" to be a word. :smirk:

Well I have been very interested in the legends and mythology of the Buddhist and other religions of the world though I am a staunch practicing Christian heralde. Do you suppose I could be reflecting their thinking subconsciously?

In any case mythology is always very exciting and enjoyable.

Well, I think every faith has something to offer in its own way. I also enjoy studying other religions, it's a huge insight into people's culture and history.

New one for you

Okay, I'm sure everyone here remembers the old children's song where the old lady swallows all those crazy animals. In fact I remember a muppet sketch of it once where a guest sung it while Statler and Waldorf heckled her using some of the lines from the song. Now let's see if anyone can suggest plausible or implausible methods as to how the old woman could have swallowed the cow
