I really wanted LaToya to win, but since she's out I've gotta root for Fantasia. She definitely is very talented, and she seems to have mellowed out since the early part of the competition. Diana's good too, but she just doesn't do it for me. One thing that annoys me for some reason, which Diana ALWAYS does and Fantasia often does, is shouting out "Come on, y'all!" at the beginning of the song and often a couple other times throughout the song. Oh, well. It will be an interesting finale, but I'm not as into it as I was the first time around and definitely not as into it as I was the second time around.

So, who do you think is gonna win? I say Fantasia. I have to admit I didn't like how her first song went at all, but 2 and 3 were great. I thought her version of Tamyra's song was a lot better than Diana's, even though Diana's was good. Still, though, it was pretty unexciting for me. I couldn't really bring myself to care much what was going on. They'll never top last year's finale...

I don't know what it is with me....I always vow never to watch American Idol, but I always watch the last two shows, so I guess that I can understand conversations about it.....they were both just okay....nothing to blow my socks off....of course, I don't think anyone from that show has, although I've made it my duty to scream whenever a song by Clay Aiken comes on "THAT'S CLAY AIKEN" it's fun to do in the middle of a store

what show I'm really getting into is the WB spoof of American Idol, where they kick off the good people, and keep the REALLY bad ones.....and the great part is, these people think they're the best.....it's good  (sorry, but my evil side is my ruling side)

YAY!!!! FANTASIA WON! I have been rooting for her or George since the start. And I'm so glad she won because that Dianna is way to perky and I don't think her voice is all that great. Fantasia has presence, and though her voice may be scratchy at times, it's different and cool.

I, honestly cannot stand anything about Fantasia... I don't get what this big deal about her is -- I've heard much better singing. At least I never have to listen to her again, I guess. Oh well. Saying this year was better than last year is a total joke, and frankly I can't see any of this year's people being even remotely successful commercially. I bought both Ruben and Clay's albums last year because I enjoyed them on the show, but Clay has been the only one on Idol that I can actually stand to listen to outside of the show (in fact I enjoyed most of his cd). He has character... this year just gave me a headache.

At least there's Superstar USA... I prefer to watch people go down in flames when singing, frankly. heh.

And as you can see, finals have thouroughly made me very angry for no particular reason

At least for the next few weeks whilst she does the talk show circuit. ^_~ (I've sure become the Statler & Waldorf of the Idol thread, haven't I? hehe)

Anyway, I have no idea how those Superstar USA "judges" keep a straight face without giggling like they did so many times on the Idol auditions. Now THAT's a show.

I have to say, Fantasia really grew on me throughout the competiton. I always thought she was talented but she kinda bugged me in the beginning. By halfway through, though, I really liked her, though I still liked LaToya better. But if it had to come down to Fantasia and Diana, I definitely think Fantasia was the one to win. The ending really didn't do much for me this year, and I think they're all wet when they say how much better this year is than the first two. I don't think anything can outdo last year. I think the only way I could get more excited about a contestant than I was about Clay is if some Scottie hottie gets in the running. Hey, if folks from Bulgaria and Albania can try out for American Idol, why not Scotland or Ireland? :stick_out_tongue:
