Really, any amount of writing is an achievement. Some stories need more room to stretch out than others, while some are meant to be shorter. One of my absolute favorite stories to read is a grand total of forty-eight WORDS. I just tend to write the ones that invent their own intricacies and go on forever and ever and ever... which may be why I tend to abandon them. But whether you finish whatever piece you're trying to write or not, the act of writing is what matters.

I haven't been impressively persistent in my nagging for this thread for a while so I thought I would stop in wave my nagging stick around for a bit.

Mm... I was wondering when that would happen again. Unfortunately, Vim needed to work on something a little less complicated for a bit, and #3 must've needed a break or something... which is my way of using my other two minds as an excuse for getting distracted again. A LEGITIMATE excuse, though... This is draining stuff to write. But... addictive. And I left off in the middle of a scene. I'm not so much at a road block as I am somewhat emotionally spent. I think I'll pick it back up once I'm back at my apartment and away from all the tension that appears in my house if my dad is confined to it, as he is now... And I happen to be heading to my school apartment tomorrow. Unfortunately, that'll be in 90-some degree weather, and I'll be turning on the air conditioning for the first time in two months... So yeah, who knows what state my brain will be in, but I'll see what I can do in the next few days.

I know that moving back and forth between places for school stinks. I'm so glad this will be my last year for that. I head back to pittsburgh from D.C. on friday so I know what you're going through. Take it easy and once you're all cooled off in your school apartment you can come back and keep writing this awesome fic!

Oh, I WISH I were all settled! Got back to school to find the person I'd been counting on to be my roommate is a habitual liar of some sort, thus leaving me with NO roommate and twice the rent. Sheesh! But that's finally smoothing itself out, so hopefully it won't be too long before I am in fact settled and sleeping at night and able to think about any story... The start of a new semester of a creative writing class is NOT the time for my writing brain to go on vacation!

Man, that stinks! Yeah I've had the bad roommate experience before and it can be really tough.

Just find time to relax. Everything will work itself out and I'm sure you're writing brain will come back from vacation ready to come up with tons of great stuff for school and for the forums!
