I guess I'll add some more to this thread - Eric Jacobson in Very Merry Muppet Christmas Movie did a better job performing Frank Oz's characters (Fozzie, Piggy, Animal) than Frank Oz did during mid-to-late 90s muppet productions (Treasure Island, Muppets Tonight, and Muppets From Space)...

Yeah, exactly what I was thinking. Crazy how Dave Goelz has been around for both Kermit recasts too. He really doesn't get enough credit for all his hard work, I can't even imagine someone else voicing Gonzo. And, unfortunately, we can't see more of the Gonzo-Rizzo pairing this time around since...

So the plot is about Gonzo being challenged to spend the night at the Haunted Mansion. I'm glad this is Gonzo-centric because I'm still not really the biggest fan of Vogel's Kermit. My only worry is that this will focus too much on promoting the parks over a good story. But, either than that, it...

I'm glad Disney is actually doing something more with the muppets, this actually looks like a very neat concept.

Some people were saying that the season set DVDs had better quality and that Disney+ has the series in the wrong frame rate.

Wasn't really the biggest fan of this. Like some said earlier, I was hoping for more old-school Sesame Street content. Some of it just felt like empty virtue-signaling too. How can you mention the BLM movement while continuing to erase Northen Calloway's legacy from the show? I get he had his...

There are about a dozen muppet-related projects that never left the development phase so I'll take this with a grain of salt. But, I am very excited to watch when/if it is released. They could definitely try to get David Cross to play Frank Oz.

Yeah, that's what I figured. The only reason I had some doubt is because I wondered who would go through the trouble of putting a false acting credit on the Wikipedia page of a puppeteer that hasn't been around since the early 90s. On another note, has anyone ever seen this video of Richard...

Richard Hunt's Wikipedia page says that he voiced the character "James the Red Engine" from 1991-92 on the Thomas the Tank Engine show. I don't remember ever hearing anything about this so I was wondering if it's true or not. Since anyone can edit these pages, I'm guessing it's fake.

It's pretty ridiculous but it's certainly one you won't forget, which is the point of a commercial at the end of the day.

Duncanville is a great series and I'm glad it's returning for season 2 and 3. It has a nice mix of grounded old Simpsons humor and outlandish Family Guy-style gags. The fridge episode in particular was very fun to watch.

Well, what you wrote out sounds more entertaining than the actual Muppets Now.

Yeah, I have an issue with the way they're marketing this or at least the way the media is reporting it. I think a lot of people who aren't really familiar with SS aside from the main muppets (big bird, elmo, cookie) think that this is the first time they've had a regular black character on the...

Classic episode here. The plot of workers being replaced by machines is even more relevant in 2021 than it was in 1979. Too many great skits too, from Gonzo's bomb defusing gone wrong to Fozzie's At the disco-dance comedy mashup. This is one I'd highly recommend for anyone who wants to get into...

This episode was never commercially released prior to the Disney+ launch, so the only way I had seen it was through a recording off of Nickelodeon. It had always left me confused because they never explained why Bobby was arrested & he had just abruptly returned with no explanation. And then I...

Interesting news. I would visit these two sites daily when I was really into the Muppets back around 2013-14. I like the layout of ToughPIgs more than Muppet Mindset but they were both fun visits. Sad to see Mindset go (I even once published an article with them) but at least their articles will...

I remember that episode, Bob's Burgers is consistently one of my favorites right now.

LOL I came here to post this too. Seth is a huge muppets fan so I wasn't too surprised to hear Peter's reference. The fact they broke out and did the whole theme song was a shock though. Wasn't a fan of the rest of the episode too much but that part was so well-done. Interesting to note that...

My favorite one is from Season 2, Episode 1 - Don Knotts. Statler: This show is awful Waldorf: Terrible Statler: Disgusting Waldorf: See you next week? Statler: Of course. My second favorite is from Season 3, Episode 10 where Kermit tells Statler & Waldorf that if they let him hide there...

I just watched one of the new episodes called "Freaky Tuesday" where Buster and Mr. Ratburn switch bodies. And wow, this is the most I've enjoyed an episode of Arthur in years. The plot actually had me interested and it really wasn't bad at all. I guess they can still make a good episode every...
