Gonzo has already worn women's clothing in a season 1 episode of Muppet Show, the very same show conservatives were defending from cancel culture back in February.

Maybe so but I'd rather have it stay relevant through that than to be completely forgotten.

Agreed. Don't get me wrong, I do like how the memes have ingrained Arthur into internet culture and given it more popularity than it would have had otherwise, but the show is so much more than that.

That was 6 months ago, which is about 60 years in internet time. This is just more "culture war" nonsense, with the Muppets now playing defense against the conservative machine instead of being backed by them like they were in February during the content warning hysteria. Don't watch Muppet...

Maybe so but the moral of the episode doesn't change despite that. And to be honest, I was mainly referring to the comedy and overall writing of the series. The first 5-6 seasons can still make me laugh to this day.

It was already common knowledge among Arthur fans that season 25 would be the last but it still seems surreal to see it being widely reported and confirmed. The show hasn't been consistently good since the mid-2000s but I still don't know if I'm ready to see it go. It was a huge part of my...

Sad news, may he rest in peace. Always liked his cameo in Men In Black 2.

I've always wondered why there's never been a real trailer for Muppet Caper, especially since I've seen ones for the original muppet movie and MTM. Usually, the 1999 Columbia home video ad is used as the "trailer" but glad to finally see the real one from 1981. Fitting that it resurfaces around...

Yeah, his case is a bit of a paradox. Cosby admitted his guilt in 2005 in a civil case after the prosecutor promised he would not pursue a criminal case against him. If the prosecutor had not violated his Fifth Amendment rights like that, Cosby never would've admitted to drugging women and...

Harvey Weinstein is about as Democrat as it gets. He was a huge donor for the Democrat party and Obama's daughter had an internship with him. Can't forget to mention the time he went on MSNBC to smear Bernie Sanders as a "sexist" and announce that he's voting for Hillary Clinton.

They probably just made the decision to focus more on newer characters, Frank wasn't really around for The Jim Henson Hour either. I definitely would have preferred to see more Frank characters but at least we did have a handful of Fozzie, Piggy, and Sam appearances. As for Jerry, it feels like...

Sam the Eagle in general had some of the funniest moments on The Muppet Show. One of the best is in the Steve Martin episode where he applauds Statler & Waldorf's audition because he thinks the show finally has some "good, family entertainment". And then there are these hilarious exchanges in...

I actually do have the 1984 CBS/FOX release of The Great Muppet Caper. This one also has Farmington Hills on the back. Not the original release but still a rather rare find.

Definitely, it becomes hard to listen to at times. Though I still admire that she's still performing the role 30+ years on. And honestly, even the Treehouse of Horror episodes have lost their edge over they years. I will say that the Spider-Verse paody in the latest Halloween episode was pretty...

Sorry to hear about this, I wish her a speedy recovery.

Speaking of the 2015 Muppet series, I feel like that show struck the perfect balance of having newer Muppets Tonight muppets like Bobo, Big Mean Carl, and Pepe (plus the 90s pairing of Gonzo and Rizzo) alongside classic characters and even semi-forgotten ones like Uncle Deadly.

Here's one thing you have to keep in mind, Muppets Tonight only lasted 22 episodes, less than the first season of the original Muppet Show (with one being a clip show). And while season 1 of TMS is fun and enjoyable, it's nowhere near as good as seasons 2-5. With time, MT really could have...

Wow, 25 years. Truth be told, I don't think I've actually seen every episode of the series like I have with the original Muppet Show and the 2015 ABC Series. But, from what I have seen (probably around 40%-ish) it was a very good show. Though for the record, I've really been meaning to watch...

So now the two human leads in Great Muppet Caper have both passed away, first Diana Rigg last September and now Charles Grodin. He was a great villain in GMC, very entertaining and charismatic. May he rest in peace.

What more can be said that hasn't already been said? Jim Henson will always be one of the greatest entertainers of all time. There's no telling what he would have been doing with the technology that we have today. The fact that his legacy is still alive and well 31 years later is a testament to...
