I haven't really had nostalgic desire to revisit stuff from my Nickelodeon days, but I gave this a watch any way. It was pretty fine. I don't know how it would've hooked today's kids, totally unfamiliar with the original show, into the show. I thought everyone turning on Arnold was a little...

That street story was a little...eh? There was a plot, but nothing about it seemed to flow very well. But yeah, Ryan was easily the best part as the Duke. Minor nitpick: I would've moved the Mr. Shoe poem after the Foodie Truck. Not only because it had nothing to do with numbers coming after...

I think I read around here that the fence is broken because Herry burst through it before the song happened.

Always my favorite time o' the year!

Andrew was Bert.

That's an old photo; from last year's parade.

He was literally right next to Prairie.

Well, all the videos the performers and characters have been sharing from the float seems to suggest there is one.

I may have to actually watch the series, because I understood like none of this. (Nice touch that the Foodie Truck is in Snackside Down).

The PBS version inexplicably added some new material to help round out the hour, it seems. After Santa munches down on Elmo's cookies, it transitions to an "H is for Holiday" film, then a neat little music video of "Jingle Bells" starring Elmo and Abby (with a Honker, Dinger and various other AM...

I mean, it's possible. Considering I've watched the show consistently since she started, I'm always seeing her perform as opposed to past performers. And that's not really just a Brian thing; Jim wouldn't really respect the puppets either.

Nice street story where everyone got a line of dialogue (except the Count, :( ), but hey, a good dose of Prairie Dawn is never bad. This was definitely a jam-packed show, since they had to shorten the Foodie Truck intro, and there was no Number of the Day or closing scene. I hope this isn't a...

Yeah, that wiki is incredibly obsessive. And it has a clear, consistent format that other Wikis don't even bother to try to do.

Wikipedia is trustworthy on certain things, no doubt; they have sources right at the bottom. When it comes to niche fandom things like that, there's obviously not going to be a lot of people checking it because, how can they? They don't know what's really true or not. When it comes to...

That's rull cute. We won't see it on air until season 49, tho.

I wouldn't say that quote is about Ryan's performance being more in-depth than Kevin's; it's about how he was able to figure out how to make the character three-dimensional.

I don't see what's so bizzare about it. SpongeBob is a popular show with tons of material to rife through to make a musical from. It's probably a little egregious because it's another "musical based on TV or movie instead of something original" that's been plaguing Broadway for awhile now, but...

I've seen shows and such with celebs, but the only one I've actually spoken to is Lin Manuel-Miranda, who was very nice about my niche question. (SS people don't count. But of those, I've met John Tartaglia, Stephanie D'Abruzzo and Caroll Spinney).

This is a phase we haven't really reached before with the performers. We've seen character voices evolve as the performers get older (i.e. Frank as Piggy or Grover). But, no one has gotten to the point where their age was detrimental to the performance; they either retired or passed away...

Kinda felt a little rushed. The 43 minute runtime contributed to that. A little more music would've been nice too. I liked the opening song though and yeah, Muppets look great in the real world. And the credits sequence was nice, with all the main characters who weren't in the special getting a...
