Thoughts: A new modern version of THE MUPPET SHOW on Disney Channel?

I hate the "everything's terrible" stuff... like a good 50-75% of things are terrible, granted... but that makes the quality stuff shine. The only problems I see are the constant forced reality shows, be they based on people with too much money who are only famous for that reason, cheap stunts...

Sesame Workshop Trying To Have It Both Ways(Bert/Ernie issue)

They never did. Otherwise Bert would be a LOT angrier if Ernie at cookies in the bed.

Your Thoughts: Jason Segel and The Muppets on Saturday Night Live November 19

I had no doubt that there would be some Muppet heads up. It was highly likely that they would have appeared, and if they didn't due to scheduling problems, we could have seen another Muppet parody sketch. Luckily they were able to get the puppeteers. That's the only reason they wouldn't have...

Dad hears a "racial slur" on Fraggle Rock

I think that's some sort of completely idiotic attempt of censoring violence somehow. There's NO reason for them to censor the word attack no matter how they rationalize it.

Sesame Workshop Trying To Have It Both Ways(Bert/Ernie issue)

Yeah, but the point isn't if they are or they aren't... the point is that Sesame Workshop is constantly denying it, but marketing Ernie and Bert merchandise with supposed gay symbols, like rainbows. As I said, it's a snide aside to those who found malicious intent in the old joke. Also, I have...

Thoughts: A new modern version of THE MUPPET SHOW on Disney Channel?

I'm an old school pop culture junkie... if I haven't heard of them, I don't think anyone else would. I didn't toss away a lifetime watching television to not become someone who knows 75% of everything. Some people made bigger impacts than others. Some were at the height of their popularity...

Your Thoughts: Jason Segel and The Muppets on Saturday Night Live November 19

As soon as I heard that I couldn't help think Muppet Christmas Carol.:D But really... that opening number is the best thing I've seen in years on that show. And perfectly Muppety. And I like how Scooter was part of the group.... AND how he mentioned Land of Gorch. I guess Walter boycotted...

New Toy Story Short Celebrates Kid's Meal Toys!

I have to judge it for myself when I see it. I dug the Hawaiian vacation one and all, but the premise sounds a little more interesting... though they already did the fast food promo joke http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wpRH7k61QCg Still kinda bugs me kids just abandon these things. I manged...

New Toy Story Short Celebrates Kid's Meal Toys!

The McD's TMNT were better than the uberexpensive cruddy movie line... that's for sure. Managed to get all 8 of those. I kinda dug the 2004 BK TMNT line too... got all 5 of those. I just want something that's figural. I really hate those activity books and puzzles and pinball games and stuff...

Is anybody else just sick of Ice Age?

Well, considering the first Ice age was, what... like 2002, I was in college, we get our Spring Break in March, which is STILL winter so you can't even do anything fun... Ice Age was a godsend that year. Other than that, I'd just have another day of sleeping in waiting for college to start up...

Thoughts: A new modern version of THE MUPPET SHOW on Disney Channel?

Bruce Forsythe had a significant and lasting impact on pop culture?! Guests of the Muppet Show past and present were people who were well known at the time. Some just stuck better than others. Some had a significant career before they went on, like John Cleese and Vincent Price. Some were in...

"The Muppets" Final Parody Trailer On-line

Where are you, actually? Certain places get the movie months after we do.

New Stuff At The Parks. Star Wars/Muppet Figures!

That's pretty expensive. I think the other deluxe sets go for much less than that. Unless of course, it's a rare set or something. Still didn't see it in stores, but then again, I wasn't looking. Imagine a Muppet one like that? We'd probably get Chef, Beaker, and either Pepe or Walter there too.

Is anybody else just sick of Ice Age?

I'm intrigued by the Christmas special, actually, and all it's anachronisms. The Flintstones barely get away with it because the whole show is anachronism, but explainable due to the dinosaurs doing everything. That said, I think Dinosaurs did the best job inventing a holiday with the biggest...

If "The Muppets" is a success: What's next?

A linking device would be pretty funny. Actually, I guess you could also count the Rudolph Snowman parody as a linking device that thinks he's a narrator. Maybe have Statler and Waldorf be the linking device... that's almost what they were in MTI but not quite.

Is anybody else just sick of Ice Age?

You really haven't missed all that much. They're decent in cases, but they weren't at all groundbreaking. The first one's all you really need to see if you absolutely have to.

Will the success or failure of The Muppets have an impact on the Dark Crystal movie?

The Fraggles maybe, POTDC no. In fact, unless true Henson fans come out of the movie hungry for any Henson style puppet project that know of the existence of such things as Labyrinth or Dark Crystal in the first place, the Muppets may just hinder POTDC. And for the same reason the first one...

Dad hears a "racial slur" on Fraggle Rock

I'm gonna go with Gonzo's Hobbit's answer... basically, because someone put it out there, you can't NOT hear it. And let's face it, it's a very obscure slur. Does anyone remember the Marvel Comics blunder in the late 90's where somehow someone misspelled "Killer" and it became a hard core...

    The 10 Worst Muppets?

Wait are you saying the worst Muppet is Nobody as in the floating face http://muppet.wikia.com/wiki/The_Floating_Face or Nobody as in there's no worst Muppet? Cuz I'm no fan of him either.

    Upcoming Disney Movies

It's definately a spin off... I meant to say DTV movies, but thought of the cheapquals instead. Either way, loosening up restrictions on DTV movies is a good thing, IMO... I mean, we could get a lot more films like 3 Musketeers. That was a fine DTV. Maybe look at animated versions of other...
