OK, so tonight I went over to a baseball game at the nearby minor-league baseball stadium (the team is the Brockton Rox). As one of the themes for this night's Family Fun Night, it was MUPPET NIGHT!
During intervals after an in-game promotion and before an inning (or half-inning) started...
This one I can understand you being scared of. It was most likely that Fat Blue spider. I heard a lot of people on this forum were unnerved by the Fat Blue spider in that skit or the one on the Miss Muffet play. But this one had an Animal-type voice that made him more threatening :p
I can...
I usually kind of sleep late here, since I am on summer vacation. Hence, I watch (and record) the 10 AM version. I don't go back to school (it's a community college) until September.
Where I live, the new episodes don't premiere until 10:00 AM (I live in the Boston, Massachusetts area and get PBS Channel 2). But it sounds like they finally did a Number of the Day that wasn't one of those 2002 organ clips; but at least they still had the Count (these 2006 Number of the Day...
The "school" lesson near the end (Professor Grover, "Elmo's World") had nothing to do with the rest of the episode. Since the street scenes had Telly playing with a toy train, they could've shown the "Elmo's World" segment about transportation. That had a short film with the boy and his mom...

This has probably been posted before, but am I the only one who noticed something about this skit? The car crashing sound near the end is the same one used on the "Leader of the Pack" by Shangri-Las!
I loved today's episode! They must be slowly returning to the old format and will only show "Elmo's World" at random. But I loved seeing the "Beginning, Middle and End" sketch! It must've been the only pre-1992 segment to be shown this season so far. But there probably will be more as this...
This was a good episode, despite the reruns. But it looks like for after "Elmo's World," they're going to alternate between Trash Gordon and different bedtime stories for Slimey (and now Sloppy.) And there was STILL no Big Bird here! I mean, Caroll Spinney can still perform Oscar, so why not Big...
The nightmare has come true...
(insert "Mysterious Theater" theme here or the creepy synth music from the 1969 "Rock hunting" skit)

It's not as cheesy or corny as the Calypso opening, but there might be a video of it on Youtube soon...
The new opening wasn't that great, but at least it wasn't cheesy like the 1992 Calypso opening! And I thought it was clever to have the episode number appear on a street sign next to the SS sign. The pigeon from the 1992 closing sequence also made a cameo in it (right before we see Ernie and...
Yesterday at my college they were upgrading the fire alarms in one of the buildings, and that got me thinking... I've noticed "Sesame Street" has never done a fire drill segment AT ALL. I mean "Arthur" did one, and... I don't know any other shows that did so.
Maybe Baby Bear or Abby Cadabby...
I'm sure some of you know that back in 1959, Ross Bagdasarian (a.k.a. David Seville) performed "The Chipmunk Song" with puppet versions of the Chipmunks created by Bob Clampett. With this fanfic, this is what it'd be like if the Jim Henson Company took a stab at doing their own version of "The...
Sawing14s is going to set all his videos on Private, I heard. But I am friends with him on Youtube. I will PM him about seeing if I can view the videos since I am a member of Youtube myself.
As a tie-in to my "Sesame Street Horror Special," I made a little video clip that will only be on Youtube for a short time (I might remove it by the end of August, then move it to Google Video). It is a parody of the Muppet Babies episode "Is There a Muppet in the House?" and the movie Rowlf...
