Wonderful to hear.
Let's hope that future episodes will also continue to treat us to comebacks of other second-tier/background characters, including appearances by such old friends as Boppity, Gloat, Droop, Lenny the Lizard, Baskerville, Muppy, Rover Joe, Catgut, T.R. Rooster, George, Mildred...
Sorry, Dr., but I'm going to have to very strongly disagree with you on Pocahontas, which is one of my favorites and very much underappreciated. IMO, your opinions on it are very overly-negative, hateful, biased and just make me want to cry and feel bad about liking what I like.
In addition to...
My thoughts exactly.
Cat Cora and the Muppets are a great team--they even did a "Give a Day, Get a Disney Day" commercial together, for crying out loud.
Time to stop all this bickering and just sit back, relax and enjoy this series for what it is.
Part 2 of my list:
#19 Vincent Price: Miss Kitty
#73 John Denver: some of the flowers and "Why Can't We Be Friends" whatnots
#75 Shields & Yarnell: one of the "Take a Chance On Me" birds
#76 Dyan Cannon: one of the Atrics
#78 Linda Lavin: Robin
#79 Dudley Moore: the Bug Band
#80 Arlo Guthrie...
Here's some ideas of characters that I would've put in the Goodnights in certain episodes
#4 Ruth Buzzi: Boppity (Blue Frackle) instead of Hilda
#5 Rita Moreno: The Newsman instead of Muppy
#6 Jim Nabors: a Jugband member and the female whatnot from "Gone with the Wind" instead of Gonzo and...
Or at least it's extremely rare when good things actually do come his way (ie: winning the 2009 Webby's for his "Ode to Joy" video, getting a girlfriend in "Letters to Santa", getting to singing with Demi Lovato, etc.).
My favorite "Modern" Classic Muppets (1990-present/post-Jim) would have to include:
-Pepe
-Bobo the Bear
-Johnny Fiamma
-Sal
-Big Mean Carl
-Dr. Phil van Neuter
-Clueless Morgan
-Polly Lobster
-Mad Monty
-Blind Pew
-Old Joe
-Ghost of Christmas Present
-Bubba the Rat
-Ubergonzo
-Goggles...
I agree that we should return to the subject at hand and, once again, leave the real "trolling" and criticizing to the true professionals (:boo: &).
Well, you just might become a fan of his in the future. You never know...
Also, I don't think I'd necessarily want to see a "rivalry" between Angelo and the Swedish Chef, since it has already been very well-established that Angelo has great respect for everyone's favorite Swede and they both...
Totally!
I think you're referring to Gigglesock, if I'm correct.
I too can't stand a lot of those Muppet-haters out there either. Gigglesock and many of his fellow Muppet-bashers are obviously extreme Disney traditionalists who have a freakish distaste for the Muppets and they like to think...
Just because they don't use an established/veteran character in a certain way in a new production does not always make it bad.
For example: just because this is a cooking show does not instantly mean that it has to have the Swedish Chef as a host or co-host.
Also, in continuing other...
In response to some of the most recent posts here, here's why I don't think they would've let Rowlf co-host a cooking show like this--he'd probably get his brown hairs all over the food. :sympathy:
P.S.: Inquiries like this should really be taken to the "Ask Jim Lewis" thread.
