Here's some more second-tier Muppet characters that I think would be nice to see in the movie, even though most of these ones are a long-shot:
-the Talking Houses
-Howard Tubman
-Carter
-Leo & Grump
-Taminella Grinderfall
-King Goshposh/King Rupert
-Featherstone
-Thig
-Lothar
-Leroy the Donkey
I agree. I take it that he was only acting.
People just don't seem to know how to take a joke or know when someone is making a joke these days...
Anyhow, I also loved this little video too. It's always awesome when Kermit goes out into our world to interview real people (and even...
If you don't mind me reviving this thread, here's some other ideas for the Muppets Company, particularly at the Muppet Theater:
In the basement kitchen/cafeteria/canteen, the staff could include Gladys, Winny, the Swedish Chef and Angelo. Gladys and Winny would be at the counter, taking the...
I know this may sound silly, but maybe The Muppets Studio didn't really want Muppets Kitchen to win a Webby, due to the fact that they're busy directing most of their time, money and resources towards completing, promoting and releasing the new movie.
In addition, the Studio didn't even create...
Same here. I, too, can't see those soap opera cancellations having any effect on the Muppets. They're all handled by seperate departments/divisions anyway.
How do you know? Where/when did Kevin Clash confirm that? Will Clifford speak or just be in the background?
And where did you hear of Matt Vogel performing Uncle Deadly?
You do have some valid points, but I don't think we should be too harsh here. After all, things could be worse... They never could've made these figures at all. :sympathy:
The Muppets do need all the support they can get, especially with the new movie coming out.
Throw all the rotten...
These new Muppet Vinylmations are great. Can't wait to get them.
And a nice selection of characters too. Great to see Disney lavishing attention on some of the more secondary Muppet characters.
As far as I can recall, trailers for "Tangled" didn't start getting released to the public until around spring or summer of 2010, only a few months before that film arrived in the theaters.
A few more to add to my existing wish list:
-Geri and the Atrics
-Bobby Benson and his Baby Band
-Mulch
-Bobo the Bear
-Johnny Fiama & Sal
-Big Mean Carl
-Clifford
-Bean Bunny
-Seymour
-Dr. Phil van Neuter
-Zippity
-Bill the Bubble Guy
-Mr. Poodlepants
As we all know, the new Muppet movie is bringing back quite a few old friends that we haven't seen or heard from in years, like Uncle Deadly, Thog, Behemoth, etc.
Which other minor Muppet characters are you hoping will pop up in the new film? Some of the ones that I'm hoping to see are...
Sorry, but Pocahontas is not overrated at all! It's underrated. VERY underrated!
Don't get me started on its heartbreaking sequel, though.
Fortunately, most of Disney's direct-to-video sequels are not really "canon" anyway.
I very greatly appreciate your sympathy, my friend. I really do.
And it continues to break my heart further when under-rated films get slammed continuously.
Again, I just cannot agree with that. Screw innacuracies! It's only an animated film made for entertainment purposes, not to...
I wonder if Matt Vogel will perform Uncle Deadly, since Vogel is now already performing a lot of Jerry's characters.
Either that or maybe Jerry will loop Deadly's voice (if he can still do it, that is).
Either way, we probably won't know until the release date gets closer.
No offense, but while I like a lot of the ideas suggested in this thread thus far, I do feel the need to say that we might be asking for too much from Disney again.
Besides, asking for too much leads to disappointment and nobody wants to be disappointed.
