Just think of it as Goofy the actor playing a character named Goofy, if you know what I mean (similar to how Kermit plays Kermit in most of the Muppet movies).
Besides, a lot of the old shorts placed the characters into different kinds of roles, as well as recieving slight personality...

It's very sad that we lost Ms. Williams. She was such a lovely lady and one of my favorites. Her synchronized swimming numbers are always a treat.

EDIT: According to the ToughPigs forums, Ryan Dillon is...

Let's hope that with the economy know on the road to recovery, things will start...
Get a load of what Jim Hill just said about the Season 4 and 5 DVD's on his Twitter feed:

This is one of the few times that I'm going to have to disagree with him.
Now we REALLY need to get our resident insiders on the case to find out the REAL reason for...
I just remembered another thought that popped out into my head remembering all this:
Stuff like this tends to make me think that the pig loves herself more than her frog these days.
But again, this was all probably just an act anyway, like I said in my last post.
On the other hand, there were a lot of interviews and small TV appearances, especially in the 1980's, where the characters did express some deepness, including Piggy not getting b****y and not running around hitting people, not reacting negatively to Kermit being around or interacting with other...
Totally true.
But Piggy pretty much always had a soft spot for kids, mostly when Frank was still doing her. They even made it clear a couple of times that Piggy liked kids. And her actions on GLC clearly go against that.
Who wrote for the Muppets in their recent appearances in The...
