There's also this petition that OpenVaultDisney started not to long ago, which is also dedicated to getting the rest of the Muppet Show released as well as other yet-to-be-released Muppet material...
Phillip Chapman, while you're on here, please do the right by doing your job and telling us what Muppet Show Seasons 4 and 5 haven't been released on DVD yet. Please don't let us down. :(
True, but regardless, I still think that they WILL release the rest of The Muppet Show on DVD eventually. Maybe we should try being optimistic for a change, since Disney DOES want to release them and is still working on getting all the legal red tape cleared (if the jerk rights-holders had...
I also think we should even start petitions to get our quiet-for-far-too-long insiders like GelflingWaldo, SecretSquirrel and even our own Phillip Chapman to stop being quietm, take breaks from their personal lives and get back to work finding out inside info for us! They oughta be ashamed for...
Slight hypocrisy much?
Besides, they freakin' ANNOUNCED Season 4 at the 2009 D23 Expo, so the company DOES owe us an apology and an explanation on that front.
Unless they're just not allowed to talk about it, especially if there's still a ton legal red tape that has been particularly difficult...
I understand, but I still feel that they do owe us things.
Another insider is OpenVaultDisney and I really wish he would post here again to reassure us all that Disney is still committed to releasing the rest of the Muppet Show on DVD and that they know about the demand for it and that they do...
We don't have much of a choice. After all, they did abandon us without explanations and due to their strong connections with the sources, they owe us explanations as to why Seasons 4 and 5 have been delayed.
And on the same token, maybe we should also take stands and make petitions to get the insiders that have since abandoned us like Phillip Chapman, GelflingWaldo/Greg James, etc. to take breaks from their personal lives and get back to work reporting the reasons why Seasons 4 and 5 were delayed, etc.!
The problem is legal red tape, that's what! Obviously, some music rights holders and celebrity estates still refuse to budge and grant them the licenses that they need!
I wonder if the emails and whatnot that Disney gets regarding Seasons 4 and 5 get shared with the greedy, miserly jerk legal...
Here's who I'm hoping to see in it and who I can see being or staying in it if we do get a new edition in the future (my list is a little more realistic, though):
1) 80's Robot
2) Afghan Hound
3) Andy & Randy
4) Angel Marie
6) Angus McGonagle
7) Animal
8) Annie Sue
9) Baskerville
10) Beaker
11)...
In that case, let's hope that most, if not all, of those spreads get taken out (especially the useless "eat drums" and "time's fun" ones) and replaced with pages more and different characters (especially the ones that were cut from the existing one at the last minute, like 80s Robot and Droop)...
Does anyone have a video of the Dick Cavett Show version of Glow Worm? I really want to see it what it was like with Kermit the Frog instead of the pre-frog Kermit.
