I mean, he usnt really trying ti make it a thing. He is a comedian. Its not really a funny joke though. Its one of those jokes where the idea seems like it ought to be funny, but its not.
Thats kinda the reason Christmas is in the winter...
If anything we need to move it to the end of january or feb. Jan and Feb are the bleakest months. No real holidays except Valentine's Day which can itself be depressing if you are single. At least Christmas and new years can be shared...
I dont think its a culture thing, more like a business thing. Some how Palisades was able to release series 1 at crazy low prices. The Muppet labs playset was 19.99 and I think regular figures were like 8.99. But, this was a time whe. Suncost and Sam Goody still existed, plus they were in Toys...
For those interested Amazon has the Chef listed for $27.99 and free shipping for Prime members. If you are looking to get this for yourself or someone else for Christmas, you can still get it delivered in time...
Chef is in comic shops right now. So far BBTS still hasnt gotten him in stock, but you can get him elsewhere. But it is too soon to tell sales for the figure. It should have come out last month and had more space between it and Christmas. I am sure there are people that would have bought it...
So DST does an Ask DST every so often where people can submit questions to the president of the company. This is similar to the old Palisades message board thread where we use to ask Ken questions. Link provided below.
Anyhoo... The latest one had two questions that are Muppet related...
Thank you very much. I must say, I do like this one a lot with all the colors going on. Also it was nostalgic re-sculpting the cabbage, eggplant, and scallions. I kinda like the newer smaller ones better than the ones I did for Palisades.... especially the scallions.
I plan on offering all of the singing food in one "accessory pack" type thing. They are small and it would be hard to mix a small enough amount of resin for just one and still get the ratio for each part correct enough to get it to cure.
For a veggie pack I would probably say $15 plus...
Link to listing: Santa Chef Ornament
This is a 100% hand sculpted, 100% hand painted, resin cast figure/ornament of The Muppets Swedish Chef dressed as Santa with a bag full of his Muppet Singing Food friends (a cabbage, scallions, eggplant, tomato, potatoes, bell pepper, and a reindeer...
Thank you for the plug. :)
Since you mentioned it, I wanted to post here that I am making my new Santa Chef figure/ornament available for sale.
He is hand sculpted, cast in resin, and hand painted.
If anyone would like one you can purchase him through my Etsy Store...
Chef is now listed for anyone interested. I've listed it at $40 due to the overall complexity.

Any funds will go right back into helping me create more figures. Thanks again to anyone viewing...
Well, roughly 2 weeks after I started here is the final painted sample.
Each veggie is a separate mold so I can cast more and use them with my DST Chef (If he were gets here...). The chicken antlers were the hardest part, kept trapping air and or coming off in the mold.
Everything is 100%...
They could do onion style news. Stuff that is totally made up with no real world connections. Heck, Sam is a bird... right wing and left wing puns write them selves.
The phrasing that they are willing to release classic content seems like they arent planning on it. I mean, i am sure they are willing to do many things they dont have planned.
I feel like working at Muppet Studios is currently the most boring job there is. Even the Jim Henson Company is at...
Ill believe it when i see it.
Frankly, id rather see the effort put into new content that us true to form. I find it odd that with politics being hotter than ever, Sam Eagle is no where to be seen. If they want to build buzz and get attention a political show hosted by dam Eagle that is a...
Anyone who can give them the snarky yet good natured wit they once had. The Muppets 2015 had some good snark, but was often mean snark. We need more if that only without mean spiritedness. But we cant go full goody goody either.
For example. In TM15 the original opening ended with Kermit...
MFS was just a poorly done movie. The story was weak, it was a time before many recasts were done, and there was no Johnny Fiama!:skeptical:
For one, you cant actually answer the question of Gonzo's origin. His whole character is that he is a weirdo who is unlike anyone else. You can explore...
MMW made back it's production budget, but a rule of thumb is that movies spend as much on advertising as they do on the production. Plus, you need to consider the movie theaters cut. It made 80 mil world wide, but that is gross not net. And as Mr. Price said, in terms of profit, you gotta be...
Toy Fair is n Feb. If they show Dr. Teeth and Zoot at Toy Fair then we will see them released. If not.... probably not. It seems Diamond wants to release them, but not if it means they loose money. That's basically why they released the Chef first. Out of all the series 4 figures, he has...
