    Jean Stapleton episode

I myself can't help seeing Jean Stapleton as Edith Bunker of All In The Family. That' why TMS episode where she guest starred, was like seeing Edith crossover to TMS from All In the Family.Though before seeing this epsiode,I recall seeing Jean out of character on a talk show once.I couldn't get...

The Movie Big Bird in Japan

I myself haven't seen it yet,but I've just ordered a copy of it on DVD from Amazon.Ca.I've already got a DVD copy of Big Bird In China from Amazon, and recently viewed it for the first time, and fully enjoyed it.Something tells me I'm gonna like Big Bird In Japan too.

The first thing you ever remember seeing on Sesame

I would have been about three years old when I first started watching SS during the early seventies. The first skit I recall seeing was Bob's musical number"Who Are The People In Your Neighborhood?".Somehow I even confused it with Mr.Rogers' theme song"It's A Beautiful Day In The Neighborhood".

Jim Henson and Frank Oz/best friends

I've noticed how over the years,Jim Henson and Frank Oz performed together a lot. They seemed to be a great puppeteer team, and have puppeteered a lot of muppets together. Ernie & Bert Kermit & Fozzie Kermit & Miss Piggy Kermit & Grover Ernie & Cookie Monster Kermit & Harvey Kneeslapper...

2 hands and a piece of chocolate cake

I remember that skit too,and sometimes wonder whose hands they really were. Also, after seeing this skit as a child,I used to like to play with rubber dishwashing gloves, which came in different colours.Yellow ones and pink ones were my preference, simply because of how closely they resembled the...

    Oscar's attitude

One good thing about Oscar is,he may be grouchy, rude and rather mean at times, but he's not an evil character. He set an example of this toward the end of"Elmo's Adventures In Grouchland",when he gathered up all of his fellow grouches and outdid the movie's villian. So at least he's not a bad...

    Loretta Lynn episode

I liked that episode too.Statler and Woldorf sat on a haystack. But we never actually saw where the rest of the audience was seated. The temporary change of scenery is probably what made this episode a classic.

What sketches scared you as a kid?

I recall a rather wierd experience occuring when I was about four years old.Early one morning, when it was still dark outside,I found myself half awake while trapped in some kind of bizarre nightmare. All it was was a bunch of loud and scary noises.Whenever I tried to get out of bed,I would feel a...

When did Telly come to Sesame Street?

I used to tune into Sesame Street on a regular basis from 1974 until 1976,and I don't recall ever seeing Telli Monster. Was he a later addition?Another character I don't recall seeing during the 74-76 period was Olivia.

    Miss Piggy's Karate Chops

I realise that there have been topics on this before. But one thing I find interesting, unlike on"The Muppet Show"where Miss Piggy so often used her karate for bullying,in both"The Muppet Movie"and"The Great Muppet Caper"she used it to successfully outdo the villians. In other words,in both movies...

    Miss Piggy's eyes in TMM

The title of this topic refers to a scene in The Muppet Movie, where Professor Smallfry tries to fry Kermit's brains, and Miss Piggy comes to the frog's rescue by karate chopping Smallfry and his goons. While she was in the process of knocking them all out with her series of"hyyaahs",she suddenly...

Ernie and Bert: Letting balloons go (1985)

You might be thinking of an Ernie & Bert skit from the 70s,that took place in their bedroom.Ernie couldn't sleep so Bert suggested he count sheep. So when Ernie begins counting sheep,we see white outlined animated sheep going by and going"baaah".Then Ernie becomes bored with counting sheep,so he...
