Yeah that's definitely not Bill, and after finally watching the actual commercial, it's totally a scene from the movie. I hope they keep that part in so we can se Dave and maybe Steve! ;)

It looks like they're in a restaurant or something like that, so they are probably customers. David Alan Grier's looks like he is acting, and not just on set. By the way, I almost positive that Bill Barretta is not in the shot...he looks different than that guy wth the hat on. ;)

They didn't film on location but in a studio in Vancouver. I think it would be hard to not do the movie in a studio. ;)

I don't know any specifics about Dave doing Dr. Teeth, but his Traveling Matt from Fraggle Rock does have that deeper kind of voice.

I still think the Muppet Theater won't be involved in this movie. I'd think it would ruin the fantasy of Oz if we see the characters offstage.

No it just used the Muppet Theater in the movie but wasn't like an actual episode. I think we'll see all of the characters in OZ and away from the theater.

I'm almost positive it's not just an extended Muppet Show episode. I don't think so much money would be poured into a movie like that. ;)

Yeah on IMDB.com it says that Mandel did Animal and Coulier did Uncle Waldorf. However, I think that Coulier took over Mandel's characters in 1986. :confused:

I've always thought that the Harry Belafonte episode was the best. I remember reading that the "Turn the World Around" sketch was Jim's favorite. ;)

She also was filming on the same lot as the Muppets...so it's really about availibility.

I'm not saying that she'll be bad. I was just responding to the previous post that said that they didn't understand the casting of the movie, and I was saying that Ashanti was obviously not the first choice.
