I sort of agree to that. And it seems to be shown in "A New Trash Heap In Town", both in the episode's final song and in the start when Wembely keeps snickering on how much Mokey was doating on Gobo. Although it was probably more embarassment than anything.
No, no, no. I mean, they use the word "kill" in the literal sense when referring to the Gorgs, monsters or anything else that's potenially leathal. She thinks it's just shocking they'd put it in something meant for little kids.
I talked to a friend of mine about "The Terrible Tunnel" and said it was the first episode where "kill" was used in the literal sense which gave her mixed feelings. "It's a show with cute puppets, but they use words like that". Anyone else feel the same way?
I also remember Sam telling him "Don't you start whistling" when Floyd, Janice, and Bo annoyed him with "Sam's Song". That struck me as strange. In "Sex and Violence", Sam seemed to have total respect where Nigel was concerened.
I remember him conversing with Zoot then threatening to replace him in "Connie Stevens", pouting on how Floyd disliked the theme song then snapping at Rowlf to continue playing the end theme, but when was the fourth time?
Majory: "Coffee grounds and rotten stew, that is what makes me think of you."
Philo: "Aww. Majory. That was beautiful."
Gunge: "Yeah! We never knew ya had it in ya!"
Majory: "Boys, I've got everything in me!" *laughs*
Both to the camera "No comment!"
Murry: *turning to Brio and Balsam*...
Cantus seems to be the most mature of all his kind (that is, if he's the same kind of Fraggle as the ones we usually see, since he has fur all over). He isn't even afraid of Gorgs.
The only one who seems to make him close to losing his paitence is Red.
They're not. Gunge voices his worries on what the Fraggles will do without her to guide them afte Jr. breaks Gobo's leg, so at least Gunge may have some concern about them.
Maybe, possibly because the five main Fraggles are like, "Teenagers", if you will, and the only ones who come to her...
Philo and Gunge, the two "Trash Twins" that hang out with Maudarey (?), the Trash Heap, seem to only show her respect while they act smug towards anyone who comes to see her, like they aren't worth her time. When it seems she's frozen to death, they become distraught over the possibility of...
Actually, Mokey is a kind, loving-everyone, motherly-type of person who acts sweet and sugary towards everyone. She possibly just feels that Boober needs to be reassured that he could be brave. Next to Red, he's possibly the one in the group she feels she has to look out for.
I watched "I want to be you" today and noticed that while Mokey recited her poem, the only one Red was interested in paying attention to her was Gobo.
Another thing about this episode I found interesting was Philo (or was it Gunge?) making the comment on how impressive Gobo found the poetic...
It's true the earlier Gonzo was best described as a twerp or a geek. He was always whiny and bratty like a little kid determined that others should see things his own way, such as him being an artist. It's most likely he started out small with acts like growing tomatoes and eating tires in an...
Any ideas what songs would be good for the show and who could sing them?
Here are the ones I came up with.
"Skidrow/Downtown"-Maybe sung by the first season Gonzo, Droop and other depressed-looking muppets.
"I'm Here For The Party"-played by either the Electric Mayhem or the Alice...
I'm sure everyone in can agree that Cantus is the most mature adult Fraggle ever.
And think about this. He and his followers have truly taken risks by leaving the Rock, whereas the Council of Sages and the Oldest Fraggle are too scared to go roaming. He possibly challenges their authority...
What I always wonder is what is the name of species of creatures Balsam and Brool belong to? I'll buy that Murry's assosciated with dust and he's a Dust Spirit. And I thought Brool looked a bit like a goblin, in my opinon.
Now that I re-read it, it said he "appeared in the background", so maybe he was either in the auidience or in the background of the closing number, we can't just make him out.
