For all the sarcastic comments Statler and Waldorf make, they also find good things to say about the show. It's possible that the show is just "too hip" and new for them to understand and so they try to make the cast feel small by insulting them.
Waldorf: "That's one of the reasons I always...
I also noticed in the end of the Vet's Hospital Skit in "Candice Bergen", Behemoth closes his jaws on Rowlf. Either he wanted to eat Rowlf or is was biting him as payback for hitting his stomach with a mallet. Which seems more likely?
Shakey walks offstage after being eaten, which makes me think Behemoth got tired of his "ham" dinner.
Gorgon actually said "Excuse me, Miss" before crunching down on Piggy, which makes me think he may have shown some regret for what he was about to do. Maybe it was in the script for him to...
People say Lenny is a revised version of the Snake Frackle, but that doesn't make sense, since the Snake Frackle is the one with green fur and large chin. Maybe they mean "Purple" Snake Frackle, but that can be seen in the background of the auidience, too. Anyone else notice that?
When Uncle Deadly sneaks up behind Kermit in "Twiggy", Gonzo's eyes seem to widen with fright. I thought he only got this feature when Dave rebuilt his character, or is it possible that this was a first attempt to see how that feature would work on the original puppet and then abandoned for the...
John Clesse struck me as if he wasn't having fun (of course, he helped DIRECT his episode) because;
a. He was tied to his chair and gagged.
b. His agent was eaten by Big Mama (so who says she couldn't have eaten the GUEST HIMSELF?!).
c. He seemed to dislike the pigs.
d. His final...
"I'm Looking Through You" is one of my favorite musical skits, but I've often wondered something; when Fozzie comes back and swats the air with his hat, is he shooing away the bats or the ghosts? I say the ghosts.
That's been done before. In the Valerie Harper episode, Floyds' backup singers were performed by a single person.
The calm man's name's Herman. Which one, though? There was a green one and a blue one.
"Charles Aznavour". It's when Gonzo wanted a manager.
The song's about a man who (or more likely thinks he did) married his own grandma because his father married his daughter.
A little. I was always more curious about what they do without him. Maybe they just wait for him where he left them and play for themselves 'till he gets back to them.
Who's in the auidience of Muppets Tonight? Here are the only two I can remember or make out;
Stevenson the Parrot
An alligator
But I know there are more......Help me, please.
In my opinion, it would have made more sense to have the rats showing up all over backstage during the first season since it was like Kermit had just gotten the theater.
Actually, I think Kermit was like that because he seemed to think the show didn't have much of a future at the start or because he was in a bad mood.
1. Uncle Deadly had physically abused him, then Kermit thought it had been George.
2. Floyd was being difficult about playing the catipillar...
Here's my analsis of his personality;
When Scooter first appeared he assumed he'd be welcomed with open arms to increasing the Muppet Theater staff. He was polite (if a bit demanding) when he said he was going to be the go-fer, then seemed like he was whining when Kermit refused. Finally he...
This is a thread dedicated to two of my favorite characters and I'd like to point several things out.
1. What is their race? They've been called "Shills", "rats" and "Trash Twins", though this would describe them best since they're like ying and yang; Philo has hooded eyes that seem to...
