Hmm... looks like I'm going to the mall soon- I have to go to EB for the Piggy exclusive anyways...
The only place I've seen the Reservoir Frog shirt for sale is on www.emerchandise.com
Rizzo should just come with food.... lots and lots of food. Cheese, pizza, whatever- Rizzo will eat it.
Oh, and maybe another generic Muppet mouse or two would be nice.
As much as I agree also with the system MuppetQuilter came up with, I don't think it is realistic. If Palisades develops this collector's club, I'm sure they would want to keep things as simple as possible- get the orders in, and ship them out- without devising different packages & keeping...
Is the point of this to prevent "eBay snipers" or to be able to get them ourselves??? I don't care how many someone else is buying or selling as long as I have one. If people are dumb enough to pay inflated prices when they could just join the club, that's on them...
"I realize 15-20 bucks sounds a lot better than 35.... but I was trying to balance between a price that would make it worth it for Palisades, and something the collector could stomach."
True collectors will pay quite a bit- haven't you been watching eBay?
"I think the idea of offering...
I already replied to Ken's e-mail about this.
Basically, I based my ideas/opinions on the old Starting Lineup collector club I used to be in: you pay a fee to be in the club, then you are offered the right to purchase exclusives, and only pay for those that you want.
I tould Ken $15 would...
I would like to see him as close to scale as possible- I'm not expecting perfection. I'd like to see at least a limited amount of articulation- similar to Kermit- legs, arms & head would be fine.
I feel so bad for whoever it was who had the Dr. Teeth whose nose fell off, but I couldn't help but laugh at the visual image that it brought to mind. LOL
Reminds of Ernie using Bert's nose for his sculpture. :D
Okay, we need to get back to the whole "get-Ken-to-make-the-Leprechaun-Brothers-for-us" train of thought...! :D
Ken, if you need some pics, I'm sure I can get my buddy to do some image captures from the CD-rom of them for reference, Just let me know!
BTW- on the CD-rom, they also sing "Oh...
Ken- I don't know what Phil sent you, but the "Muppets Inside" CD-rom is an EXCELLENT source of Leprechaun Brothers visuals. You should really check it out.
As for the whole Henson idea- I think Ken has said before that they have already said no to that idea, but I could be wrong...
Here you go, Ken. Put all the exclusive ugliness behind us & make it up to the TRUE Muppet fans: if MuppetFest II does indeed happen this year, promise that you will be there WITH a very special exclusive.... or exclusives, as it were.
Make the biggest, baddest exclusive a die-hard Muppet...
I missed the Dr. Teeth exclusive. No way in *heck* do I miss the awesome Beaker exclusive, or the exclusive of my main guy Animal!!
There should be one and only ONE show/event/convention that should even be selling exclusives at all: MUPPETFEST. Can I get an amen???
Ken-
I got my hands on a set of series 1 today. I've only opened Dr. Teeth so far, and now I have to ask: do there HAVE to be so many twist ties??? It took me 10 minutes to free him from his plastic prison! I can understand wanting to keep them in place, but even his HAT had a twistie on it...
I just got my set of 4 from a Media Play here in Cincinnati. Funny how they weren't on the retailer list, but I had a feeling they'd get them anyways....
Still have to go to TRU & EB for the exclusives...
So I go to Dave & Buster's over the weekend... For those of you not familiar with D&B's, think of a Chuck E. Cheese for grown-ups. It's also a lot like Jillian's & Gameworks, if any of you are familiar with those. Anyways, after eating dinner, I make my way into the Midway (the gaming area), and...
Now for the real question...
OK, Ken.. the time is almost here, I know, so....
If you were (or are) a rabid Muppet fan looking to get their hands on Series 1 Muppet figures the moment they hit the shelves, when would you start looking, and where??
In other words, who do you think will be...
