Just saw this picture posted on MouseGuest.com by a poster there. Apparently, some changes are in the works where the Muppets fountain stood outside of MuppetVision-3D.
Hopefully it remains something Mupppet-related. Anyone know any inside details?
D'oh! You beat me to it!
All I can say is I'm psyched. Then again, I'd be psyched about seeing Disney do ANYTHING with the Muppets. The fact that their were hints of "other projects" fills my Muppety heart with hope & penguins too.
Anyone know where to find some good sound/audio clips of the Muppet characters? There seems to be a severe lack of anything substantial on the web, as far as Google is concerned. If anyone could point me to some, it would be much appreciated. Thanks!
Yeah, this was announced a week or two ago. I reported it last week on my new "Muppet Minute" segment that I started for the "Mouse Guest Weekly" podcast.
Wish I could go... a Disney cruise AND a Muppet show of sorts?? Sounds awesome!
I have it on good authority that this Sunday's Mouse Guest Weekly podcast that covers all things Disney will be spotlighting the Muppets this week. Eric & Dan who do the show are my brother and best friend respectively, and I've been bugging them about some love for the Muppets, and it seems...
*Beanies of: Rowlf, Sam the Eagle, Dr. Teeth, Pepe, Crazy Harry & Sweetums
*Some simple, casual, nice-looking shirts, both short sleeve & long sleeve (I'm think retro baseball jersey look), just depicting the character. No parodies, no photos slappd on a shirt. You know- Disney quality stuff...
Hey all-
My brother just got back from WDW bearing gifts of new Muppets pins! I hadn't heard anyone speak of these before, so if this is old news, I apologize.
Anyways, they look great! They have Kermit, Gonzo, Fozzie, Piggy, and Animal, along with the Swedish Chef and Rizzo. A must for...
So we get more Kermits, Gonzos, & Fozzies, but still no Sweetums?!? Hrrmmmm..... :boo:
...but I'm still very pleased with the announcement of the other figures. :)
I'm not quite sure how Sweetums appearance differs from the Muppet SHOW to the Mupet MOVIE, but if he looked like he did in the Muppet MOVIE, then I'd be pleased. I think his performance in the movie is what the typical average fan remembers about him anyways, other than the opening number...
Yeah, Media Play seems to be doing well with Muppet stuff lately. Last week, I saw the Monopoly, Mega Animal, leftover series 3 Lew Zealand, a new Muppet Show lunchbox, playing cards, and the plushes of Gonzo, Bunsen, Beaker, & Rizzo. I picked up the monoply, the lunchbox, the playing cards, and...
I picked up the Beaker & Rizzo plushes at Media Play, along with the Muppets Monopoly, a Muppet Show lunch box, and some playing cards last week. Both Beaker & Rizzo are fantastic! They also had Bunsen & Gonzo, who I thought were good, but not great.
I'm still waiting to pick up that Electric...
Is it too late to throw in our alternate pieces? Well, probably, but I'm going to share mine anyways...
Pepe
Rowlf
Sweetums (oversized, of course)
Sam the Eagle
Scooter
Right now I only have Looney Tunes Monopoly, but I'll definitely be getting this one too. :D
Oh- and I saw the Peanuts Monopoly at the Virgin Megastore in San Francisco.
I went to Amoeba Records too, but sadly, no Muppety goodness... :sympathy:
Of course, there might have been some, but that place is so big, who can tell???
