If you use MOdel Magic, make sure you paint it with a few layers of glues first. it'll keep it from breaking apart on you.
For really scary teeth, I have a treick I use where I take a hot glue stick and cut it into small bits. I then put the bits in a bowl of warm water and nuke it for a...
Hey guys,
was tinkering around with some thing and put this together. It's kind of a basic overview of what goes into creating some of our favorite characters from the performers themselves. In this you'll clips from interviews with Jim, Frank, Dave, Jerry, Brian, Kevin, Kathy, Steve and a...
I found those last week. Awesome stuff.
I love the part where Steve and Kevin hoist Frank into the air. He actually keeps the song going but you can hear he has trouble keeping Fozzie's voice after that.

Personally, I'm looking forward to the change next week. I get out of work usually just after the sun has gone down and could use a little sunlight to pick me up. So I'm actually looking forward to seeing the sun again. Sorry D'Snowth but I completely disagree with you on this.

hey gang,
Justgot another email from the Mindtyle rep. I had emailed huim about something...can't remember what...I'm guessing pricepoint, and here was his response. I also forwarded his contact info onto Phil to hopefully open up a dialogue between them.

1. who are your top five favorite/ least favorite figures?
Top 5: Lew Zealand, Dr. teeth, Beau, Johnny, Sweetums
Least favorites: Bunsen, Marvin Suggs, Pepe
2. were any figures better/ worse than you expected?
Lips always seemed a bit off to me. Hair should have been a bit bolder.

hey gang,
just got a response to the email I sent to the Mindstyle rep last week. Here are a few answers for you.
And there you have it. That's why there's no pics form Toy Fair. That's why the letter blocks and that's how they're packaging them. I like that they're going to be doing them...

Ovbiously they're all a bit cheated. I would say Sprocket and Marjory are actually pretty close in scale. Pa's head, I think, is shrunken down a litlle. Figure the blocks the characters are on are about 1 inch and a half or so on each side. So they have to fit on those.
The doozers are...
only the larger guys are bust-like. The doozerd and the fraggles are both full figured.
and the reason I can make those images out so well is cause I saw them last week. But I think even still in that pic you can make out marjory and Pa pretty.
you know, in all seriousness, that blob we all think is Red....I think that's actually Gobo. That's about where he was in the display, Red was more towards the back. but that picture looks like it was taken Sat. before Toy Fair actually began, so they might have moved some things around.

I disagree. Let's call the features what they really are...bonus features. For me, the important thing is having the series on DVD. Especially since there are a ton of episodes here that I haven't seen in 25+ years. Having the commercials, the featurette on the performers, etc. is just a...
Middle case top shelf.

and if you look real close you can make out some specific characters

hope this helps.

I don't know. Could be because they're prototypes. Could be because Mindstyle has something special plannned for releasing pics. Could be that pics were taken and they weren't very good. Could be that cooltoyreview wasn't interested in them. Could be any number of things.

he's a Muppet-writer who is also very involved in the Henson Legacy. He's the guy responsible for the BAM Henson filmfest in 2004, the Long Island festival last summer, and the producer of the BTS documentary on the Emmet Otter DVD.
His role on the TMS DVDs is like I said to pretty help...
hey gang,
I posted this in my toy fair trip thread but Drtooth asked me to post here as well. I ran into Craig Shemin at Toy Fair the other day. He was nice enough to stop and chat for a few minutes about a few things. He told me he's been brought in by the Diz to consult on the TMS dvds...
Yeah you can make out Red too. She's that big splurge of red in the front row furthest from the camers. that grey splotch in the back row closest is Sprocket, then Marjory and Pa is the purple splotch with the crown in the back corner furthest form the camera.

hey gang, just sent and email to mindstyle to see if I could get come answers and maybe get us a few pics or something or hopefully create some kind of dialog between them and Phil. Also PM'd Phil with their email so he can do the same.
in the meantime, I know this is a bit of a tease but...
I think Season 3 starts to make up for some of that. I'm actually really looking forward to the "Company of Characters" featurette and I think the other things they have on there will be fun. You've got to appreciate that this IS an expensive show to put on DVD to begin with and I think...
Sprocket was the weakest. Not necessarily bad, I just didn't think he was as good as the others. He seemed slightly scrawny to me. But that really is a nitpick. It's still a really cool sculpt and fans will still dig, but like I said I thought the others looked a little better.
