I saw the commercial today!
Ok so I kind-of cringed at the manipulation on the monster, but I'm trying to be ok with it. It doesn't mean that I made bad puppets...It just means that most people don't understand that they need to point their hands downward and not open their hands so...
ohhhhh my hockey life comes full circle!
In college I was an extra in a commercial at the arena that the Avalanche played in at the time(McNichols?). We pretended to watch an Avalance game. It was fun, and cold.
I guess I'll try to watch the game tonight? They put these things on TV, right?
Oh, the script was written by the ad agency. That's usually how it works nowadays. I got to read it, it was pretty darn funny. Hopefully they'll continue with the campaign the whole season and my puppets can get some more air-time down the road.
Does anyone know when hockey season officially...
I use build-a-bear a lot for my smaller puppets, too. They had a lot of Diamondbacks things for puppets, but these guys were all too big for that anyway. They're about 23" tall, so a 6-9 month onesie had to fill in.
And yes, just as soon as I get a copy of it, I'll be posting it *somewhere* and...
My favorite part about doing that project is that because we couldn't find *any* shirts with the Coyotes logo on it smaller than 4-6 years old, I had to steal an image from the internet, print it up onto an iron-on fusing and slap it on a plain shirt to use the stolen image legally. (hehe)...
Ok so it's a literacy night. Take a story that you like and adapt it to puppetry!
Our first kids' show was terrible. We tried to make up our own story. Our 2nd was was fantastic as we did 3 Little (Talkin) Pigs. We had so much fun writing the story. And really, that's the thing, if you have so...
When I do it, I stea--I mean...I borrow a stand from the puppet theater. It has two rows of dowels on a board, however they're not spaced far enough apart to make it worth it. (well, I guess its worth it because it was free and meant I had to build nothing...)
By far the best stands Ive used...
Hey Onath,
For storage, I use a plastic bag around the puppet and then, if you can hang them, that's the best (i've found) but when you can't (I can't..) I shove them into a sterilite container. Like an adorable little coffin. I use the 18 quart ones so it ensures that I won't be putting too...
Thank you very much!
I'm hoping I can get the spot up online somewhere just as soon as I get it.
The main puppeteer's guess was about a week. **fingers crossed**
I'm going to ask them today regarding viewing the commerical online as well as maybe getting a little mention on the website somewhere in a corner where you can't see me? (how does that work usually?)
