This is barely PG-13. They don't actually show anything. Since forum members have to be 13 to register, I think its alright for Muppet Central. I find the Puppet Rapist series very funny. There is something about how over-done the voices are that make me crack up. The victim puppet is so funny...
I'm a graphic designer and would like to help with the logo and maybe more. I don't have much experience in video, but I can create non-moving visuals for you.
Also, have you considered painting your rods green to become invisible? It would work as long as you don't overlap the rods on the puppet.
Since we seem to keep finding eBay Muppet Knock-offs, I've decided to start a thread we can keep track of them with.
Just found one for a Kermit and an Elmo. I think its tacky when they post the listings and rename the characters or act like their just a generic puppet. Its called copyright...
Well if I ever do open up again, I'll be sure to let you guys know. Afterall, you all seem to have the knowledge and the drive. Maybe even do interviews excluslvely from this forum.
I've been researching businesses for a while and was looking for something creative that would allow me to...
Yeah, I was going to mention it, but that was my scaled down plan...."Second City" style comedy with bar food. One day it would be awesome to have a full-blown restaurant and playhouse, but it will cost so much. Besides, I'd like to keep it a tad cheaper for people. Dinner shows are so expensive...
I've never seen a movie like this before. This past week I rented it and was amazed by how surreal the visuals were. There was something done in the lighting to make the other world appear as an old movie. I was just amazed on how the digital sets added a sense of fantasy to the scenes. I can't...
Ever since joining this forum I've pondered the idea of creating a real Muppet show. Basically really doing what the premise of the Mupper Show was, a theater production with puppets as actors.
I was thinking of what a novel idea it would be to have a dinner theater based around this idea. A...
Just wondering this. I noticed that some characters change over time. Was "Muppets from Space" one of those movies where the actual puppets changed? I noticed that Piggy, Animal, Gonzo, and Rizzo all looked different. Maybe its just the change of clothing, or is it something else in the faces?
I won't be able to go, but please take a lot of pictures for us, if they allow you. If not, at least snap some photos of the turn out. I'm sure it will be crazy!
I noticed this too. Its cool that someone can make a high quality puppet like that, but its bad that they're trying to pass it off as real. Heck, even a replica could take in a lot of cash. Since Henson doesn't sell used Muppets, its no surprise demmand is so high on the black market.
There new...
I was checking out the Foam Book website, and noticed a DVD edition of the book was scheduled to be released. I signed up to be on the mailing list, but was wondering if there was an estimated date for the arrival of this new edition? Is it more than a year?
I think it sounds like a fun idea. Besides, Pixar has a way of not recycling their jokes and storylines to death. They originally axed Disney's in-house 3-D projects (they made Chicken Little). So now all 3-D stuff will be done by Pixar exclusively.
Anyone notice this series on Nick Jr.? They basically took the dog from Blue's Clues, converted her into a puppet, and made her own imaginary world, ala Elmo's World. The puppetry is well done and the character design is on key with the other shows. It just seems odd they'd make a non-talking...
The Muppets have always had their pulse on pop culture. They had modern starts on The Muppet Show and Muppets Tonight, as well as their own witty banter in their own spoof films. I don't think appearing in ads is the end of their integrity.
Don't confuse the Muppets with Fraggle Rock or Seasme...
