I came across these puppets produced by GUND and thought the scale of them was pretty cool. Almost actual size!
Cookie Monster (27.5" tall)
Elmo (29.5" tall)
Grover (34" tall)
Ernie (29.5" tall)
They seem to retail about $50 each, but the site is sold out currently. I couldn't tell if these...
I don't think it will hurt things. People that want official replicas are going to shoot for the real deal. The puppets released from Master Replicas come with certification of authenticity. Also, its not fair to say that the person that is dissecting Kermit is doing so to make a profit.
It...
I don't think anyone has successfully eliminated illegal goods to be sold online. Its too much to track of. Anyone familiar with the DMCA know that eBay only has to respond to requests, this eliminating their responsibilities to proactively seek out these people. The DMCA sets the mininum...
You chose your battles. You decided that this was important and its something to act on. In the grand scheme of things, illegal internet auctions are not high enough priority for me to put effort forth. To each their own.
Yeah, I initially understood the thread title as HeyButtahfly did. I was going to say that Elmo's World is his imagination and he doesn't have parents in that fictional world.
I wonder if this person actually makes the puppets. There is more photo alteration than craft in this. How can you sell a finished puppet without real eyes? I suspect he wasn't attempt to violate copyright, but rather pull an ebay scam.
Found this very cool troupe called Skin Deep Circus, which is a tiny puppet production in the UK that travels around. Their show is based around the idea of a circus freak show. I love their work and wanted to share it with everyone here. Check out this cool video of their work...
I'm not digging it. I like the personalities, but I'm not a fan of the animation. Its that terrible CGI that makes everyone look like they're made out of rubber. I also think the animation is jerky. I'd really love Henson to do an all-ages show because the Skrumps living in this house seems too...
Don't write anything. They don't take scripts from fans because of the legal issues involved with that. We submit a script, they use it, then we could go around and sue them. Disney is all about proprietary everything. They'll create an entire wing of writers before they'd ever outsource talent.
Well I never thought there was something wrong with the French show. They can't reproduce the characters 100% accurately, but they are still entitled to have a French-speaking version of each character, as long as they're kept up in the same spirit, right? Its a shame the show has been so...
I just did an eBay search for "Rubber Duck Ernie" and found several results. The duck you are talking about was produced by PlaySkool for many years. As a child in the 80's I recall having one. PlaySkool marketed the duck as "Ernie's Rubber Duckie" and it came in a cardboard box.
I think the...
To me the problem isn't that there is a new Elmo doll. Its the fact that they over market this thing and attempt to make it into the "next big thing" for the holidays. Think about it...10 years ago the doll went big because of the mention on "The Rosie O'Donnel" show. She used to have a lot of...
