Cm
Green huh? I guess because the photo was black and white it was hard to tell. Earlier versions of Grover were a dark like green color from what I recall.
"Muppets Magic"looks like a neat video! Thanks for the information.
I was browsing throught the Jim Henson Book at Borders a few years back and came across a picture that had an early version of CM before he was a regular on SS. He was in an old IBM commercial eating a machine of some sorts. He was pretty scary looking, as he had sharpteeth and looked to be a...
Muppet Caper
The Muppet Movie was enjoyable, and Muppets Take Manhattan was okay, but this movie is by far MY favorite, hands down.
Not just the Muppets make it enjoyable, but we see a lot of famous actors doing cameos and one of my favorites, Charles Grodin is great inthis film.
Classic Cast
Hey Muppetdude! What other Classic cast members have returned, just out of curiosity? Good to hear they're bringing a few back.
I'm glad Frank Oz still has ties to the show. He IS Bert! :(
Bert & Ernie
Kermit at one time was a main character too, but he's hardly on anymore. It is good that they DO still keep a lot of the older bunch around, including Bert & Ernie.
In fact, they're on that TV commercial for the SS DVD on best music skits. Well, at least Bert is :( , he sticks...
It seems like only yesterday when he was the main character of the Street', now Elmo is the newest craze!! UGH! :grouchy:
I guess when Jim Henson passed away, the character really lost it's lustre. Sure the new person (whatever his name is) does an okay job at his voice, but still it's...
Mine, which always had me rolling on the floor, was his second skit on the letter 'W'. The one where it comes to life and beats him up! LOL! CLASSIC!!!
I used to ge a kick out of some of the TV/movie/pop culture/sport personalities of that time appearing on the show: Richard Pryor, Pat Paulson, Whitman Mayo, Rosie Grear, Lily Tomlin, Judy Collins, Harlem Globe Trotters, Caroll Burnett.
And who can forget Stevie Wonder's performance of...
Lol!
Okay! Thanks for that info. Pretty interesting (and too original) to name the green guy just 'Fred' though. LOL! I do remember that skit now that you brought it up. I had forgotten about it it's been so long!
okay..
Well, I'm new to this board dude, and I would really like to have at least one of them. But I'm not sure if you can send me one or if you want something to trade? I don't have any of my own really to exchange, All I would give is my grattitude ;)
Let me know, at your convenience of...
I always referred to them as the 'no-names' because They were never mentioned. I'll describe a few, and you can tell me if you recall which one rings a bell:
The first one was a huge blue hairy guy, squarish head witha beek like mouth. He was sort of before cookie monster (starred in Kermit's...
I have been trying with little, or I should say NO success to find very early episodes. I'm looking for SS shows circa '70-'71 or around then. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
Classic SS
If you can email me at spiritofthe60s2001@yahoo.com I would be interested in the 1970 clip! I have not been able to locate classic ones anywhere.
Most tear-jerking moments
For me? Well, I would have to say the vintage sesame street clip of Kermit in the forest singing 'It's not easy being green'.
And yes, 'Saying Goodbye' MTM was pretty sad also.
