German Ernie puppeteer has youtube channel
I've absolutely fallen in love with the opera-frog who has trouble singing La Donna e Mobile in foreign languages:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sxe1zltOxms
and I noticed that the clip is posted by the frog's puppeteer, Andreas Forster, who also...
how much do i like MHALL? adivina, hee hee hee!
thoughtful, funny, and top notch puppetering. i love 'em b/c they combine one of the cutest elements of classic SS (muppet & kid segments) with classic TMS violence (stuff dropped on murray's head, ovejita's crash landings) that we rarely get on...
yes, i was just looking at www.bobmcgrath.com today, and it also has links to 2 youtube channels--one with just a playlist of videos he's in that are posted by others, and one with new videos that appear to be home video promos for his non-sesame street stuff. the baby/toddler songs, presumably...
well, my question still stands. for example, the classic clip of Bob & Olivia singing "I Like My Name" doesn't come up when you browse all classic clips, or when you search for Bob, Olivia, or name, even though all three are among the keywords shown next to that video. I can only find it...
oh, sorry about that. that's too bad--you'd think mail between canada and the u.s. wouldn't be too difficult... they do have it on amazon.ca too. that's probably the easiest.
how do you look under recently added? there seem to be a lot of clips that don't come up in lists or searches they should be in--has anyone come up with a good way to find all the clips, or do we just have to stumble on them when they come up in another clip's "related videos" list?
two users have posted it on youtube in seven parts, from a vhs so it's of so-so quality if you want to download that. but you can also buy it on dvd from the Sesame Street store for $12.98 and the money goes to support production of the show

But to respond to the original question of the thread, I see it as a real street with altered laws of physics, hard to find but there somewhere in nyc. though ss appearances on tv are similar to tms appearances--all the muppets portray an awareness of being actors, and an ability (beyond their...
Out of curiosity (and sheer will to procrastinate), i searched google maps state by state and came up with 88 Sesame Streets in the U.S. and 9 in Canada. With that many choices, I should try to live on one of them sometime! Though one of the Florida ones is in a neighborhood of Ali Baba themed...
for humans, bob or luis. but you gotta give the muppeteers credit--their characters seem as human as the actors' characters do. instead of saying i don't see color, you could say i don't see googly eyes or armrods...so in that case, herry, count, bert, or oscar. of course, when "date" comes...
I totally agree! Sometimes it seems like they're afraid not to make every single word accessible and helpful to every single 3-year-old, even though the bits they themselves think are the best often have multiple layers. Like they know what works and they know they're good at it, but someone...
yeah, it was, but it was an odd crowd. the series it's in is to educate young people about behind-the-scenes jobs in entertainment, so there were a lot of students looking for internships in television. there were also a several former sw interns and ssl dancers, but listening to the way...
yeah, that's what they said! this will be his first season as a head writer.
oh, and that reminds me of what i forgot to write before--joey said that he wrote an episode script, all the muppeteers made him a button that said first script by muppeteer, and put a lot of time into elaborate AMs...
workshop likes fans to post clips on youtube
At the Sesame Street: Made in NY panel last night, Rosemarie Truglio (education research) was talking about how the workshop is experimenting with new media such as their website, the podcasts and the youtube channel to encourage parental involvement...
mine-itis sweeping sesame fans, not staff
at the sesame street made in ny panel last night, someone asked joey mazzarino if the writers felt like the show was theirs. joey said no, it's all about collaboration, so many people are involved in making the show. then kevin said he didn't even...
the full report
Ok, here goes:
Apollo Theater: gorgeous. reminds me of muppet theater--it's about the same size, and the decor & boxes are similar (sans hecklers)... but the staff needs to watch some more s.s. to learn concepts such as cooperation, talking nicely, and planning ahead...
i went to get mine yesterday, and they said they'd be back online sometime after christmas. i'm wondering if it's to make sure they don't run out of materials, b/c it certainly isn't that they're unpopular--i asked them how many they make every day, and they said only 20 on their off days, and...
full report to come
just got back from ny--the panel was pretty cool. it had its funny moments and its frustrating ones. elmo and murray made brief appearances. to sum up my overall take on the evening, joey mazzarino is amazing! his humorous interjections livened up the discussion, and he...
Good news--when I reserved my ticket they said there would be time afterward to meet the panel.
It's cool that it's at the Apollo, as that's where they kicked off the first cast tour in 1970...I'll be imagining the original cast & a scraggly yellow bird walking the stage...
