Yes, exactly! You summed up my point in one line! But that's okay...I guess I'll let people enjoy it for the time being. It isn't hurting me. Just as long as Shrek 2 doesn't get best picture I think I'm all right... j/k
Yes, I can already tell that there will be a lot of layers to "The Village". All of the colors (yellow is the 'safe' color, red is the 'bad' color) and symbolism are awesome! Also, I love the costuming and set (the village itself is really cool). I can't wait!
Some film composers need to get out of the box and write more powerful music like this. There's nothing quite like a choir, orchestra, and amazing percussion all going full blast! The last track, "Resurrection", is just that! Absolutely amazing, beautiful, powerful, and moving! :)
Yeah, the thing with Shrek is that they're really good with spoofing. But if all you do is spoof other films, the film you make won't make any sense to future generations. I mean, I'll probably always remember what they're spoofing, but I doubt people in future generations will be able to...
Wouldn't it be cool if we could read about people that were born that were going to be famous? Kind of a crazy idea, but we always read about famous people dieing. Think about this...somebody who will be famous in the future was probably born today! Maybe an amazing film director, composer...
I still haven't seen this film, but I just bought the soundtrack. I can tell it must be a very powerful film. The music alone had me on the edge of tears. The music is amazing, truly amazing. John Debney did an awesome job!
Yes, I'm quite dissapointed with the latest Star Wars films. I think everybody has been, but it appears as if they may have something worth watching coming up! Although I must say, "Revenge of the Sith" isn't exactly the title I was hoping they'd come up with!
So, anybody excited for "The...
Do you guys think they'll remake Lord of the Rings in the future? I'm thinking it will probably be done eventually. But I really think everything about Jackson's trilogy is superb. I mean, it's not perfect for sure, but I don't think you could do much better than Peter Jackson.
That's good news! I sure hope Peter Jackson is up to making The Hobbit after King Kong, though. LOTR was a massive amount of work, I just hope he's up to a little more of Middle-earth.
Animal: "Wood! Wood! Wood! EAT TREES! EAT TREES!"
*Animal starts biting bark off of a nearby pine tree*
*The tree shakes and pinecones drop and hit everywhere*
*A pinecone falls just right and hits a propane tank for the stove*
*There is a small explosion and Animal comes out of the smoke...
Here's a list of movies I don't plan on seeing that are coming out soon:
The Manchurian Candidate (I'll be seeing The Village anyway, plus it looks really stupid)
A Cinderella Story (no way)
Catwoman
Yeah, I agree. How else is she going to end that series? She's playing off of a commonly used theme: in order for others to have peace (and be free of Voldemort in this case), the main character has to sacrifice his/her life. Think of Frodo in LOTR. That's exactly what she's doing with...
I loved Shrek, Shrek 2 was awesome as well, but I really don't think a third film is a good idea. I'm sure it will make a lot of money (which is why they decided to go ahead with it) but I'm not sure it will be a really quality film. Who knows though...I'll wait until I see it for myself to...
Principal photography on my film, The Third Warrior, began about a week ago and now there are screenshots available on the official website.

I didn't ever see Troy, and I'm glad I didn't from what I've heard. I enjoyed King Arthur very much, though, and I really did like the characters. I agree...it was awesome because even though they were VERY different they stuck together and kicked butt! :o
