Wow, thanks. It's nice to hear that is was so powerful. Mel Gibson is talented from what I've heard, but I've never seen any of the movies he has directed. They're all rated R, I think, and I don't see rated R films. That's exactly why I haven't seen this one! Sure sounds like it changed...
Just a question for those of you who have seen this movie:
Did you like the way Mel Gibson did the film? Do you think the graphic violence was too much at any point (don't describe in detail, please)? If you were a movie critic, what would you say about this film and who would you advise to...
Yeah, I read rumours about "The Village". The rumor was this, and it would explain everything, including the marketing (which was totally different from the actual film):
M. Night Shyamalan decided to reshoot the ending of "The Village" after his first one was leaked.
From here on out, it's...
Actually, I really liked it. I thought it was very good...it had a lot more human interest than M. Night's other movies. It's totally different from "The Sixth Sense" and "Signs", and that's probably why you didn't like it. You were probably expecting something like one of those movies.
Yes, I would be surprised. Sometimes they snub films that should win, though. Half of it is the politics.

But I guess I shouldn't be worried about the Oscars. I don't need the Oscars to decide which film I like best or which score I appreciate the most...
I agree. However, I did not enjoy "Spider-Man 2" as much the second time. Half of that film is the adrenaline rush you get, and the second time around I remembered everything so I didn't have the same experience. Still very quality, though. Just not a film I can watch over and over...
I agree. I think "The Hobbit" without the many isolated events it does have would be a letdown, especially for a film interpretation. They didn't really have time for isolated events in the LOTR films, but I think they'd have plenty of time in "The Hobbit". It's all about the journey, and...
This is my philosophy with computers that aren't working:
love + computer that isn't working = computer that isn't working (still)
violence + computer that isn't working = computer that is working
Now, I can't guarantee anything, and I can't afford to replace anybody's damaged equipment...
Wow, that's pretty amazing. John Debney was not well-known, especially for this genre, before this film. What a transition! Do you think it has a chance at best score, or would the academy immediately shun the thought?
Wow...that's kind of funny. I sure hope the movie works out...the Hobbit would make for an awesome movie, and it could reunite Peter Jackson, Howard Shore, Ian Mckellen, and Ian Holm. Beorn would also be cool...that is one of the few parts of "The Hobbit" I still remember. Anyway, I hope...
