Denkel, PLEASE read all of the posts in a thread before posting. Phil already posted that this special is not being released on DVD, at least not this year.
That said, welcome to the forum. :)
Sigh -- Cyndi, Cyndi, Cyndi. Sweet, beautiful, adorable Cyndi. I've been thinking about her a lot lately. I was just watching The Goonies DVD with her music videos on it, and my roommate just played me a RealOne video of (of all things) "We Are the World." (I have no idea why he did this; he...
Yeah! I noticed that when going through the Season 2 guide. I had seen the same intros over and over so many times, I just assumed I'd seen them all. I was astonished to read about all the ones I'd missed. I wish they could have used more of a variety of intros for the Time-Life collection...but...
Jent and Rockie,
Re-read Phil's post again (#17). I think you missed something. :smirk: It's *definitely* not out now, nor is it going to be released this holiday season at all. So don't wear out the soles of your shoes looking for it anymore. ;)
If it's released next year, MC will be...
Hey, folks, good news. Bert and Ernie's Word Play DVD (released earlier this year) has some vintage clips mixed in with the newer ones, including the "Fat Cat Scat" song/sketch!
While this might be bad news if you were happy to have something that was really rare in your VHS collection, it's...
Hey, Frodis,
I can help at least a little bit with this. The sketch in question is "The Great Twiddlebug Mystery," and it features Sherlock and Betty Lou, with an appearance by an early Herry and an early Roosevelt Franklin.
The sketch was made into a book, and you can see the entire book...
Fabulous job, Jamie! I love how the characters are in shadows except for their eyelids. Cool effect, and it's fun to guess who the characters are before you run the mouse over them.
All of the other characters are from TMS, but I'm wondering about that spider. Was that from SS? Miss Muffet...
Ohh, man. Now you're talking. (drool) Keep us updated!
Great DVDs like this almost make up for such crimes against humanity like "The Animal: Uncut Special Edition."
The updates will be listed at Henson.com? Who are they kidding? Henson.com still thinks MFS just came out.
(Not literally, of course. I'm just trying to make a point.)
Anyway, I do see this film working well around the holidays, but not this year. VMC was started in Feb. '02 and didn't hit...
Hee hee. That was funny; thanks for posting that.
I'm just surprised (and thrilled) that they even do live effects (like explosions) anymore. I would have thought everything was just CGI by this point.
Umm, I suggested that about 20 posts ago. ;)
(LOL! No problem. I know it's too much to remember everything everyone said.)
To answer someone else's question: Artie gave 100% accurate information on Kermit's Swamp Years long before it came out, so I completely trust him. No, he's not Secret...
Nope, sorry. Frank wasn't in that shot. Frank only occasionally performed for JHH, usually in clips that were taped elsewhere, with only Piggy or Fozzie interacting with celebrities in other locales. Frank wasn't part of the regular "MuppetTelevision" ensemble.
But it was a good try. :zany:
Thanks for your suggestions, Nik. I tried those, plus a few other things. I guess my machine just doesn't have the right capabilities for this thing. Maybe I'll figure it out someday.
Hi, all,
I'm trying to compile a list of all the Muppet Time segments that aired on Nickelodeon. If anyone has such a list, please let me know. Or if you only know one or two, just shout 'em out.
The only one I've ever seen involved an "opera" where a couple of screaming monsters (actually...
Oh, OK. LOL! So Bill is the only *boss* that has a voice?
Is that because whoever voiced Bill is still alive and with the company? I forget who did Jill and Gill.
Hmmmmm.
"Phil, I'm Jill. You know Gill and Bill."
Yes, please do! Finally hearing the voices would be fabulous! (Though the site is already pretty darn cool.) :excited:
Not sure what you mean, though, by "Bill is the only character that talks in the game." If you mean Bill Barretta, he's a character, not a performer. Second, everything...
Woo-hoo! What a surprise! I was starting to worry we might never see an update. Fabulous job, D.W. and Phil! Very thorough. I like how there's an explanation of all the changes in the theme song. That'll especially be interesting in coming seasons, because of all the little "tweaks" they did. (I...
