I'm only familiar with the first three of these, and of those three, I have never liked King of the Hill, I think that the Simpsons, including the movie, has become nigh unwatchable in recent years, and South Park can be extremely hit or miss.
The reason the problem with the Simpsons and South...
Funny to see a thread on MST3K here, but I guess it shouldn't be a surprise that those who enjoy good, wacky humor like the Muppets would love Joel, Mike, Tom Servo and Crow T. Robot. I really loved watching that show late at night when I was in middle/high school, and just last night I watched...
Now that I've collected a substantial number of Muppets, I took some pics as well, here are my three scenes:

I've looked for such a poster periodically on eBay (as I love the Mayhem a great deal), and I've never seen one. Though, I did just receive a really cool vintage Muppets poster (from 78, I think) that has Dr. Teeth on it.
Check it out...
The prices for these Muppet figures are incredibly variable. I have seen loose regular Scooter and Fozzie figures go for over 20 bucks each, but I won an auction with mint, unopened Scooter, Fozzie, EB Games Piggy, and Kermit figures for 23 bucks a couple weeks ago, and paid only about 7...
I've only got the Smooth Moves game for the GBA (that I play on my DS), but its fun. Was definitely worth the 10 bucks that I paid at Toys R Us for it.
I agree that the trailer rocks hard. Its main draw to me is its unconventionality. The trailer is rooted in humor (it starts out with Downey joking around and, in my opinion, even the Sabbath song is there for its comedic value when the big, clunky Iron Man stumbles out for the first time)...
Yeah, the use of the Sesame Street characters with the other, more "mature" characters in the Muppet Christmas Special was brilliant.
Ernie: "Yes, yes starts with the letter Y"
Doc: ". . . true"
Bert: "And true starts with the letter T"
Doc: "Hey, what is this?"
Bert: "Where we come from, this...
I was really interested in getting a backstage set about a month ago, and there was an eBay seller from France who was selling a couple at a buy it now for around 50 pounds sterling or so, if I remember correctly. So, a great deal. But the shipping was 20 pounds, and that seemed real steep to...
That's funny you mention that, because one of my earliest recollections of seeing the black bars on a VHS tape was for Ghostbusters 2 at the beginning when there is text over the film's images, which then mysteriously disappear when the credits go away. I guess they learned their lesson from...
Maybe they can try to digitally re-create these characters both vocally and visually like they did with Marlon Brando in Superman Returns. That way, you could have digital Henson! Then, as with manufacturing, there would be little to no need for real people at all! Market efficiency!
Not to say that your argument is not without merit, but I am actually more upset that many DVDs released do not even seem to have subtitles. In my own experience, this is particularly noticeable for the Sopranos, though I have seen it elsewhere in unexpected places as well. I guess that if its...
I signed. I really don't like Disney cartoons period, but. . .their sequels really seem to be less than watchable.
I'm not wholly sure that a petition signed by, say, a couple thousand people will necessarily hinder Disney's mammoth appetite for profits at any cost, which is facilitated by...
Forrest Gump? Its really hard to do any reasonably realistic portrayal of the Vietnam war without getting a hard R, much less a "soft" R. But actually, the new film "Rescue Dawn" is supposed to be pretty good, and it is rated PG-13 according to Yahoo movies. Don't know if any of the awesome...
Both of you have very nice collections. Congrats to you both on that. The custom lights on the Mayhem stage are cool. Now you just need to get them to move along to music and add a spotlight on whoever is singing/soloing at a given time :D . Its also funny imagining Marvin Suggs trying to...
