there's a stiffened felt you can buy at most craft shops...they aren't too thick, they have a sort of rough surface on one side that is very easy to draw on. I usually have trouble using softer felts because they're hard to trace a pattern onto and they are hard to draw the line down the center...
good luck finding any...it's been out of production for a long time and anyone who has some probably won't be willing to sell...the new stuff isn't so bad I've used it before but most of the time I use just regular chap anti-pill fleece from Joann fabrics and can usually get good seam picking...
I am going to start taking custom puppet orders so if anyone needs a custom puppet, please email me at martinanthony18@gmail.com...tell me about your character(if you have one)...what it needs to be capable of, what you will be using it for, and a sketch or picture if you have one.

So I have been putting lining on all of my puppets the hand isnt rubbung against bare foam and sometimes putting a grip or finger rings inside the lining...does anybody else make a lining? I realized that most people do not is there a reason why?

Wow! Thanks, Buck. I'll take all this into consideration...as for the "wedge pattern" you posted the link for, I recently made an Ernie replica (just for experimental purposes) and made a pattern similar to that and was impressed with my results. If I just been patient and waited until i could...
